Way too much rum drinking going on.

Not to hate on targas, but someone overspent on that resto. Dumping 87k into an otherwise common car does not make an 87k car.
Plus, 300$ steering wheel aside, I can't really say I dig many of the choices. Comparing to singer or magnus made me throw up a little in my mouth... "Proactively customized, modern vintage 911s for sophisticated, comfort-seeking clients in southern, coastal climates." "An investment into this kind of 911 work is ideal for island, chalet, society, and country club driving at its very best." Sorry Baron, but you missed the mark in my eyes. This is everything i hate about Porsche.... Nice Pocket scarf however. Last edited by gliding_serpent; 12-28-2014 at 05:28 AM.. |

And for $87k you still have to install your own seat belts? WTF exactly!

Charleston-area 'restoration designer' rolls out eye-catching Targa to mark launch of Porsche 911 custom venture - Post and Courier
They even call it an "outlaw." Well, at his claimed 130k value, it is robbery. |

Some nice detailing. Love the removal of the front bumper accordians blended into the pulled back bumper and modified valance. Changing cosmetics is expensive.

What a strange way to spend your money. Appears front fenders were not removed for the paint but the doors were and for an $87000 car, original motor that is 30 year old. They could have at least done a top end. Steve

I really wish these guys would have talked to me, it's anti-outlaw on so many levels, and the advertising just sinks it completely....
Oh well.. Btw, this was already addressed in the market place forum: The $87k 1984 Targa w/ 72k Miles MattR Last edited by matt930s; 12-28-2014 at 06:44 AM.. |

Some of the pics show different bumpers with the rubber inserts than others do, so it appears they're a hodge podge from different times. I do like the pulled in bumpers, but other customizing touches don't do anything for me. The Talbot mirrors on the windows almost look like they'd attached by suction cups (though they're obviously not, I hope!).

I think it is one of the nicest targas I have seen. The price is high because they are clearly trying to set a precedent for their business venture. They seem to be breaking into the custom Porsche market along with Singer. Price is not always based solely on material value, but name and uniqueness. This is more marketing a brand than actually selling a car. This is clearly part of their coming out endeavor and name recognition promotion. How often do people overpay for things just because of name?? If we all look in the mirror everyone on this forum has overpaid just because of the P name. Price aside, you have to admit that the work detail is beautiful.

The interior is lovely. The car overall is not in the same class as Singer.

I think it looks pretty good...a little over the top for my taste, but it looks like a lot of attention to detail. And that attention to detail usually comes with a price tag. 87k? I guess the market will decide. Some european buyer may snatch this up for full asking price. All that being said, I like front bumper...who sells them?

The interior is beautiful. Very nice work. The total car is nowhere near a Singer, but the workmanship is first class. Can someone post that interior pic?
