What is a factory Whale Tale worth?

Have a whale tale that I might be selling so just curious as to how much these things fetch? I've seen a few priced $1,000-$1,500 and some as high as $2,500.

Really depends on what you have. I bought my 3.2 Carrera whale tail for for ~$700, and it was in perfect condition. My '75 Turbo whale tail that I sold however, brought in considerably more at ~$3,000.

I've also seen one for $400 w/ rough paint sit for months. +1 to "depends what you have."

Sold a perfect guards red factory Carrera tail for $450.00 last year. It took about nine months to find a buyer, good luck with your sale.

All depends on the tail, the early Factory Carrera & Early 930 tails do see for much more than later Carrera & 930 tails, and of course, factory tails are worth more than aftermarket versions.
