The difference is night and day, I was somewhat concerned tht the monoballs would make the ride too harsh for street use, but that is not the case at all.

Bill: It looks great! I'm in the process of going to full monoballs. Had the rear changed before the last race and it was much more planted. The front is being done now. I can't wait to get it out again at the end of the month - I also am having EVO uprights installed with a bump steer package - and want to see how much that helps (it darn well better eliminate the problem).

Did you opt for the mid range JIC springs or the firmest? I had the mids for the last 3 years but am at the point now where they are too soft and will be going to more firm springs too.

Thanks tom, I went w/ the 7/10(392#/560#), 8/12 are still on the shelf. Your skill set is way beyond where I am.
I thought about the EVO kit but thought I'd ty this first.

Biggest problem so far is that I had to raise the ramps on my lift a full inch to get the car in the garage.

I'm not sure that I'm all that good, but I'm getting better all the time and having a great time doing it!

I'm likely to start at about 600/800 and see how it goes. I'm starting to push pretty hard and am having some issues with the bias ply slicks in the rear. The guys at the shop believe I'm weaing the inside edges excessively due to changes in toe with suspension travel. They will be removing the springs and raising and lowering the car with a jack to determine the changes in toe and camber through the suspension range. It is believed that simply reducing the amount of range in the suspension will help.

With the switch to monoballs in the rear I've reduced the amount the slicks are rolling onto the sidewalls (despite proper pressures). It made a significant difference in the grip. I'm hoping the front goes as well. I'll know in a couple weeks as I have a 3 day weekend at the track coming up.

Why aren't you using radial slicks?

Bill: Class rules require the Goodyear R600 compound slicks in 10.5x23.5x16 and 13x25x16 sizes. That way we all run the same tires and they last 2-3 weekends. The class is desined to limit hp (to about 300 due to running stock intake), weight, and handling (tires) to even out the cars and differentiate the drivers.

IMO JIC Cross is the only way to go,

* great selection of springs
* monoballs and camber plates are included
* adjuster is more positive than PCCB
* ride height and corner weight are independantly adjustable

The rear drop links are a bit of an issue w/ TRG sways

What suspension did you have on there before? If it's Bilstein or the M030 spring, I am interested.

thanks,
anthony
