But, but , but ... it has AC in it! You figure the 3.8 has the extra power to run it in a race too? Thank god the class rules prevent me from doing a 3.8. I have to live with a 300 hp putt-putt rthat's a bit over-weight.

It looks great. Our 70's and sun have made me yearn for track dates and I have to wait another couple weeks before getting back out again.

was there any difference between hydraulics? were they all the same part number? I see to have damaged mine by running 15/50 oil. I have lifter tap, no too bad, but enough to be annoying.

there are 3 lengths of hyd. lifter. The longer ones are only used if the valves seats are moved from the standard stock position possibly be a valve job or seat replacement.

15/50 shouldn't have caused an issue. They are wear parts w/ the polymer seals being the most fragile parts

thanks Bill. the way Tyson built the engine, we ran ti springs, etc. we had the heads done with valve angle and guides. I replaced all the lifters and within 3,000 miles I have noticable lifter tap, when I listen to other 993 engines I don't hear this noise. I am driving it now with 0w40. What do you think would be the right one to run? I even considering solids thats how much I want to address this issue.

993.105.141.05 is stock
993.105.141.51 is size 1
993.105.141.61 is size 2

Stock intake spring height for an M64/05 - 08 is 36.7 +0.3mm, exhaust is 35.7+0.3mm

which version you need depends on the difference your spring height is from stock

I don't know the actual length of any of them, You will need to find that out and choose acordingly.

Could we have more pictures of you car? Exterior shots would also be nice... Are those original Speedline for Porsche wheels?

Incredible car and cool color, Bill.
