Another RSR Clone Project - Update 5

I went up to see the crew at Auto Associates today to bring them a few bits and pieces and to check on the progress of the body work. In my last update, there were lots of questions about the approach being used to recreate the RSR front fenders. Check the photos of the "almost final" final product (Getty fenders with GT Racing RSR flares). I also took some gratuitious shots of the rear with the flares and deck lid in the initial coat of signal orange. I am in awe of the work being done by Jim Newton and his team.

L/F with fender installed. Lots of work to get the fender to door gap just right.

It looks like this project will be a success if it continues down the same road. I LOVE the color and I am sure final assembly will be greater than the sum of its parts. I ALSO love that so many of y'all are putting together these cars, I am going to have to buy one once the "newness" has worn off and the next project is looming.

Congrats, that is one hell of a machine!

Nice! Any detail shots of the notch for the front cooler? Did you use the TRE panel?

Shuie...Here's some detail shots of the cooler duct. This was fabricated from scratch by Auto Associates to replicate the RSR cooler duct.

Great color, and it looks like great work is being done.

On my RSR clone, Kevin (of AI&R) did separate fiberglass RSR flares on stock fiberglass front fenders. In our case, part of the reason was that we were accomodating different front hubs (no turbo-style spacers, but extended control arms) that had different turning characteristics.
