Interesting proposition having gone through a build myself.
Looking back to the ski rental business of yesteryear, I'd say rent as a kit for four months at a time, customer pick up/or pay for shipping, rental calculated at 1/5 the current replacement cost. Damage/security deposit say 20% of replacement cost via an unprocessed credit card charge/cheque. Current pics of all tools a must.
