And so the debate continues. Dinosaurs lived for millions of years, so that alone says something positive about their "squeezings".

And if anyone is concerned about coking up the turbo and cutting loose particles to fark up your cam lobes, there is a remedy whereby the installation of a small filter post-turbo return will catch those nasty particles.
not sure where you get that I said HIS engine is toast.

I said "I have personally seen ANOTHER engine where the coking came lose and plugged an oil hole in a spray bar and it ate up a cam lobe and rocker face"
this is not speculation that it could happen, it is fact that I have seen and I was not saying it IS going to happen to his engine.
at the least you are looking at a turbo rebuild if you have coking.

you guys and your oil really make me laugh. first off you think 100ppm difference between M1 and VR1 is really going to make your valve train last longer by the time you have to do guides or rings anyway and yet you don't see the advantage of synthetic over dyno oil. you also don't even bother to do a little research yourself to find out what is out there.

Dude, just jerking your chain, nothing more. We're all entitled to our opinions; it's a free world. We're all experts in our own minds but this forum is about sharing what we know, even if it's not a personal experience but someone else's. Keep on contributing, it's all good stuff.

Agree 100% Mark.

After all the information in this thread, i'm going to go from AMSOIL to VR1 to reduce the amount of Z/P in my engine from the high levels of my current oil, as after all, VR1 is the "best oil for an air cooled 911"!

I wonder how VR1 performs as a "personal lubricant"?!?! Maybe you, Mark, or Jeff (he is the OP, after all) can perform appropriate testing and report back to the group?!?!

I’ll just say this.
I’m not listening to any oil recommendations from a guy that waxed his door jambs...
