Cold start idle issue

On the 930, when the motor catches on startup , I need to depress the throttle to keep it running. Also won't idle when cold unless I keep my foot on the gas. The control pressures are within spec. I've had this problem as long as I can remember.

On the 930 bus with pretty much the same setup, it starts and idles with no issues.
Any suggestions as what to look for?

Do you still have a auxiliary air valve? Just this year mine exhibited the same symptoms and upon disassembly I found that a solder joint had broke, thus the 12v was not making it to the heating element.
When working properly, you’ll get more air through the AAV and thus a high idle, for about 90 seconds or so before the heating element expands and closes off the air pathway via a sliding valve inside it.

I have 12v to the plug.
The internal wires aren’t broken. When I put 12v to the pins I get 12v inside the housing.
Is the metal plate suppose to move when 12v is applied opening up the flapper?

In the cold position, the flapper is left of center. Not being over to the right far enough to keep the valve open. When I apply 12v, it does move to the left as it heats up.

Fixed. I added a small spacer onto the lever arm.

That’ll do it too. Glad it worked! The other way is a lot like tweaking the WUR -

I've never adjusted my AAR because mine works perfectly but thats how it is done and you'll see the round steel pin if you look for it.
