1998-2003 Single Plug (non-ABS) ECU differences?
Just curious if anyone has empirical knowledge to differences between the model years?

Thank you for the link N41EF. I searched and searched to no avail. The reason for my inquiry is I have access to a couple of different proms however, they're all 2000-onward, so I'm a bit perplexed as I cannot seem to find any definitive differences, i.e. all things being equal aside from model year.
This being the case, I can understand why some proms will not be suited to one ECU and not another - however, it leaves me speculating on why changing out the ECU itself to a later (single plug) version, thereby facilitating 3rd party proms would not be feasible. I'm sure there are differences in the four single plug ECU'. Notice that thread goes back to 2002! I would think the latter ones would be better, and the aftermarket chip makers seem to support the later ones.
