pulled the photo off another board. happened last week down at palomar. story goes that one guy strayed over the yellow line on a corner. met the other two head on. nobody injured that bad.

interesting illustration on what happens when magnesium wheels catch fire.

i owe somebody a beer. i'm up in the canyons all the time. sendan email.

sure is. i think you won.

the beast showed up at intermot and paris in 01. milan in '02.
and it still needs to lose that lower cowling.

it uses a swedish Folan engine:
998.00 ccm (60.90 cubic inches)
Engine type: V2
Stroke: 4
Starter: Electric
Cooling system: Liquid
Transmission type
final drive: Chain

it's been seen with a suzuki engine in it too (sachs uses suzuki engines in some of their models already).

it's heavy:
it's been on hold for a while, cause they can't get it to stop flexing around too much.

definitely naked.
definitely needs a carbon fiber frame...but the cost would be even higher.
they plan a 1000 unit production run....someday.

Hartmut Huhn designed it.

OK. Here is one. Obviously my continuing obsession with non-telescopic front ends...uh.... continues.

Nope. But that is an excellent name.

Hint #1: The front suspension makes use of rubber bands. You can see one in the pic.

Sachs V 1000 cc :

…some look-a-like bits and pieces (see headlamp) they used on their 50 cc Sachs MadAss (also available as a 125 cc)
