I think I asked that question a few years ago as well, thanks!

Remus ti header

Mailman came again today.

The Remus header perfectly mimics the stock system as far as allowing a slip on to fit. Whole job took no more than 30 minutes. I like it, runs great and no issues. I am running a boosterplug. Interestingly it is a fait bit quieter than the full Akro on the HP2S but sounds deep and nice. Just the header swap and bracket removal saved 7 lbs. I think the Akra slip on saved a similar amount.

The ti was $782 plus about $35 shipping. Stainless steel is $555. It was here in Canada in a week!

What are you using along with your exhaust setup? I'm thinking of going the same route with the Remus headers and stock muffler but what are you using to compensate the lean fuel mixture. If the FRK is capable of safely making that adjustment I'm leaning towards that. How do you like your configuration?

Mike, my set-up is as you recall. FRK initially wasn't able to get my set-up right. The bike would stall coming to a stop when I pulled the clutch in. So they took the first one back and fiddled for awhile and then sent the one I have. It bloops on decel some but other than that runs fine. I also have Lennie's sprockets so that may make a difference in some way....I'm not sure on that.

My point is that when/if you order the FRK, try to talk to Robert Foster and tell him it's the same set-up as mine and he'll make sure you get the right one. If it doesn't work for some reason you can always call him and send it back....full refund or replacement so you're happy.

with some miles on it

I use a boosterplug to get it richer. I am a big fan. I cleaned and sanded the valve covers and used black engine enamel paint. Engine primer then black top coats. Thanks Bryan, I love yours but I'm not the ubber shopper that you are and I had to settle. Quite happy with it though!!

Some good weather called for a day of hookie. 877km's later:

My apologies to the Buddists out there, oh the horror, the horror:

Funny you should notice that. Plasticoat in flat black 2 or 3 coats - but I wanted another coat and ran out of paint and decided that i wasn't totally thrilled with the flat so I finished up with a light coat of semi gloss. Not sure what to make of that.
