Alignment settings

I need to align my 97 boxster. I found someone here on maui that has a new 4 wheel alignment rig that has settings for my 97 boxster. I assume these are the stock settings recommend by Porsche. Does anyone have the correct numbers for sport driving, no racing involved. Anything to watch for when do the work.

As always many thanks.

Correct numbers for sport driving ends up being personal preference - but, in stock form, you don't have alot to play with. Stick with stock numbers and save a little on tire wear.

You 'may' be able to get up to -.7ish negative front camber - but, also may not like the tire wear as you probably will drive mostly safe and sane.

If, however, you want some 'frisky' stock suspension numbers:

Front: camber = -1 degree if you can get it, toe = 0
Rear: camber = -1.5 degrees, toe ~ 1/8" total toe in (this'll be safer & help keep the rear end from wandering on you during aggressive cornering). The closer to 0 rear toe, the 'happier' the rear end wants to be - not a good idea for narrow twisties.

Now - pick a good street tire to compliment the slightly aggressive alignment... without the good rubber, you'll waste the potential.

good luck,

kj
