Is it cold there?

Sorry guys couldn't resist. Time away for a little R&R (well I have the twins so it's more like Y&R) Yell & Run.

Did see a nice white 90+ C2 in the parking lot.

Aloha.

I feel your pain, Man. I have to take my kids to Mexico next month. The things you have to do when you're a parent, eh?

Well just got back and wow it's nice here.

Had a blast but now I'm broke so back to work. I sure wish I had the P-car on the roads in Maui, but man the speed limits are stupid (they could change 4 times in 1 mile??).

I only saw 4 Porsche on the whole island ,, my wife wouldn't even let me phone to find out how much renting the 997S was (she knew I'd rack my visa with it )

Rob, I'm never to keen on posting pictures of my family on the web, but just for you one of the boys from Oct.

Maui was nice 25 years ago.
Now it's no different than O'ahu.
I remember the area from Kanapali to Napili undeveloped; just bush and a few small chapels.
Went fishing with the Natives early in the mornings and a few times swimming with the Humpbacks migrating between Molokai and Maui.
Now it's Condo-row all the way from Kehei to Napili.
I have to laugh when I see the rented Ferraris, Corvettes, Porsches etc. all stuck in traffic while I zoom along on my Carbon fiber Hybrid-bicycle.
None of the Hawaiian Islands are good for fast driving. Too much congestion and heavy fines for speeding.
One high-spirited drive from many years ago I remember was to get up at 2:00 AM and make it up Haleakela Mountain for the Sun-up. And yes, there was ice and snow on top of Haleakela.

There are areas that are still nice but, they are getting harder to find.

Back to reality: Lot's of snow on the ground here; hoping for a warm Spring.

Yes Rob, were all very stealthy

I know Gunter, I couldn't believe what Maui was like since the 9 years ago we got married there. It's like Vegas now, everyone trying to pack a months fun into a week or two of vacation.

I think the Ocean is really suffering from it all.

I still prefer Kaua'i to the other islands, but I haven't been to the big island, and I hear it's the next big thing.

I hope they slow down or stop all the development on the islands, and I told my wife I would rather go somewhere else for our next big vacation, it's like going from one rat race to a slower paced rat race...
