Its funny for me to see the nice clean car pics at the start of the thread and then compare it to the TV shots of the car near the end of the race - not so clean and shiny.
Jeff, thanks for the update as to your 'on track adventures'. Couldn't find any good information to find out why there was a big difference in lap counts for your car versus others, but your explanation covers it. Don't remember seeing the 44 appear on camera any time on Saturday as FOX / SPEED were covering a lot of different cars. But SPEED seemed to concentrate more on the leaders on Sunday and the 44 appeared lots (of course only when the DP's went sailing by). Even think the SPEED dudes mentioned the words 44 and Bullet Racing on air on one occaission. But that's the only verbal reference I heard. Again - good show guys. Am sure it was a blast and am envious. jb |

During the last 20 minutes of the race we got passed a few times by the DP leaders, so the car was in the periphery, but all we could think of was "Oh God don't hit the DP'S!"
Race Control was pretty clear and concise to us on the radio... "Listen up you GT teams... if any one of you in any way do something to affect the outcome of the DP race, which is the closest in history, you WILL be coming to see me after the race, you WILL be bringing your chequebook, and you WILL wish you were never born." Our car blew a tire just before the leaders passed him with about 35 minutes to go, so we were glad it wasn't newsworthy! |
