JJ, if you are looking for factory Honda parts, try Majestic Honda in RI. Their site has an on-line parts catalog. Prices are 30% off US MSRP.

Frank is a horrible business man should really hire someone to deal with customers with that being said just about everything sold there is overpriced. Porsche parts are not impossible to find and owning one in Canada doesn't make us suckers for a con man with parts. I would do what a lot of people do order online ship to a American address drive pick your stuff up and smile all the way home. I have bought stuff from Whaletail no problems so far

Not just Nine Apart

I don't know the outfit and I'm not really interested in dealing with any business up here...I haven't in ages for car and motorcycle parts and accessories.

But it is fun to rant with a smile...more like, while laughing, all the way to the bank.

I didn't really need 2 new distributor caps and rotors, but what the hell, I am installing new ignition cables, so why not. I'll keep the old caps and rotors as spares.

So for the fun of it, I look up Autoparts Canada where "we ship to Canadian customers only" LOL. Boy, are you guys in the US ever out of luck.

Autoparts Canada...
2 distributor caps and 2 distributor rotors: $341.80

******** AZ...
2 distributor caps and 2 distributor rotors: $161.28

I wonder what I'll do with that extra $180.52

You gotta love this, the list price on that cap up here is $191.97 and in the US, $101.50. I could have sworn the dollar is at par.

Actually... was at a $1.03 (above par) when I tanked at $0.91 a liter, a couple of hours ago.

Depending of what brand; you can get the 2 caps and 2 rotors for either $82 (Beru/Facet) or $202 (Bosch/Bosch). Both combo qualify for the $75 free delivery from our host.

I went with Bosch/Bosch.

I have the old ones all cleaned up and packed away as spares.

Ogdensburg NY...

50 minutes drive from Ottawa. The 30 Cents difference on the liters pay for the trip (70 liters tank) and I pick up all my PP delivery at the UPS store, shop at Lowes, Wal-Mart and a real Price Chopper grocery store.

Also, short of the day to day shopping, Amazon dot com is you best friend.

I'm pretty well done with the Canadian lousy customer service... "You can shop when we tell you when and don't bother us" &^%$#@" attitude .

I got better service at the US Dollar store then I got at De Boer furniture store when I drop $5000 for a coath that was at half price... Well I got the Porsche so I guess the wife can get what she wants once a while

From Hamilton, you should enjoy the same in Niagara Fall N.Y.

As soon as we it a $1.05, I'll buy a few $1,000s.

The savings for some seems to be hard to figure out. They come back with "my time is worth money". They make make $50 an hour at work, but most people make $0 an hour outside of work.

Every $100 savings in parts and accessory purchases reduces my taxes paid by $13.

Every "larger than ours" jug of Mobil 1 that I buy at Wal-Mart saves me at least $15...or more.

It costs me less than $28 in gas and bridge tolls which is covered many times over by my tax savings and whatever else I just buy while I'm down there.

According to my Excel spreadsheet, my savings are 43%.

And the best part of shopping stateside is (and this is what I find so funny), how it pi$$es off those ultra patriotic, anti-American Canadians with their heads stuck in the sand. I have a few of those at work and you'll also find a few of them on forums as well....it bugs them to no end. Good!

We do shop occasionally in Buffalo or Niagara Falls, the problem is finding the time to go. Though as the dollar's gone higher, it's making the time easier to find. With the kids on March break next week, I do foresee a day trip.

I remember paying 1.58 on the dollar.

After buying 4 spark plug wires and a couple of oil filters for my BMW motorcycles, I still saved $125 on that order...with a 1.58 exchange rate. Of course, you had to pick your purchases at that rate.

Maybe, but in just over 25 years of ordering stateside, I haven't come across any.

I have to BUMP this. Just got hung up on by Frank. Horrible business man. Full of lies and excuses. We started off fine, he was emailing me promptly. But after I give them my CC, I didn't hear or see my item, I emailed...then emailed him again...no reply. Called him up, got a bunch of BS and excuses. Said he couldn't email me back coz of this and that. When i started to call him out on it, he talked over me and hung up. Sloppy and shady. I was in Toronto last week and almost drove to there to save on shipping...thank god I didn't as I would been infuriated for wasting 5 hours. I won't completely slam them since they are a small business, but if you are not within 30 minutes of this place I would avoid doing any business with them. I am an idiot for not checking here first.

Randy at WhaleTail for my Porsche parts, easy to deal with and very reasonable prices. I have been a satisfied customer for many years.

Contact the CC company and let them handle it. I had a similar situation and AE reverse the charge.

If he generate a lot of reversals, the CC company will cut him off.
