Thank you all for your kind words. I am flattered beyond words. I’m not going anywhere though and I will continue to contribute what I can with regard to firearms. The majority of the people who are on the forum are like invisible friends. But as with any open forum there are those that take advantage of others. I won’t out them here. I won’t even contact them personally. I have tried that and gotten no answer or excuses. They know who they are and if they are following this thread I hope they feel as much shame as I do disappointment. By the way I love the lynch mob photo!!! LOL!!

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Have you considered filing a small claims lawsuit against these two? On the surface, it may sound like a pain in the butt, but small claims suits are not difficult or expensive to file and might motivate these two individuals to be forthcoming with some money.
I am not a gun owner but I've always found your threads on the work that you do to be interesting. How did you get to be knowledgeable in that particular area? |

I am sorry to hear that you've had to feel the sting of this betrayal. You are a smart man and probably don't need to hear this but try to remember that people who get betrayed are those that are willing to trust and are themselves worthy of trust. You made no mistake , took no false step. You are a man we respect and I have no doubt that you are that good friend most of us have never met. Chin up bro.

Well for one of them I could make trouble for him if I reported it to BATFE. The other is small potatoes. To small for the hassle. I got good by being interested and absorbing as much knowledge as I could from a variety of sources. Then there is the old practice practice practice saying. |

Sorry to read about this.
I'm one of those guys who's been here a while but doesn't post much. I think this is unfortunately indicative of modern business practices. It used to be a good deal was when both parties felt they were treated fairly, got what they needed, and were willing to do business again. Nowadays it seems a good deal means both parties felt like they were able to screw the other and get away with something... |

The word 'testify' comes from long ago when an agreement was made, both parties would shake hands and both would grab their own testicles.
Think about the implications of that WRT an agreement...a broken agreement. "If I don't keep my agreement with you, you have the right to take my balls."

I agree with David. There’s nothing to be gained by exposing them here. It’s a private matter and we all know that regardless of where the truth lies, fingers will be pointed and drama will ensue. In fact, this thread probably wasn’t even needed...a private matter.
Sorry these things happen, but there are a-holes everywhere. Unfortunate fact of life.

Unless I wanted to "out" the offenders. Then I would have named them without concern that I may be viewed as a rat or a pansy. . Dave: "This place has always seemed like a band of brothers to me." . I see this place as a 'band of men.' My position is that there are consequences for betrayal. I'm a realist. You shaft me and you will pay...somehow. If that means being exposed, then so be it.

^^^ spoken like the man I know.
dave, i agree with those who have stated that they have held you in high regard. and i have always enjoyed reading what you post. that said, you sound conflicted. first they will remain nameless and yet you drop a couple of hints.

The Roaches crawled back under the rock from whence they came. Only to come out again at another time. They should be squashed with the scarlet letter of DB for dead beat.
I would have no hesitation in naming to exact some kind of retribution and satisfaction that you just don't get away with fking me. |

Sorry to hear about your issue. I've met a few folks in person from pelican and can say I'm better for it. Things dont always workout how you/we wanted but I'd like to think we all try and want to be fair. I really cant see not paying for a service, here or otherwise. Really disappointing.

With all due respect....if David doesn't want to "out" them here - it's his call.
Please respect his choice....which I happen to agree with, BTW. No good will come of what you are asking for.
