Oh no it wasn’t you. But thanks for the comps.

Sorry you had troubles and good for you and good for Neil for stepping up.

As far as the other guy I feel bad for you but (with all the respect in the world) don't you think you might have been a little more careful?

Seems to me a guy who from all appearances joined the forum specifically to contact you and has 0 posts shouldn't really reflect poorly on the rest of this bizarre club of fellas.

That said I think it's important for you to keep the passion in your work and if there's a point where it gives you a sour taste you need to nip it in the bud for sure!

cheers

Guess it's best if I do it. Short version: Last 3 years, divorced after almost 19 years(separated last 3), changed career, met someone new, lost my dad, married, lost my wife two months later, lost my job in the aftermath of that, broke my leg (medial maleolus and fibula) almost on the anniversary of wife's death and then my sister lost her oldest son 3 months ago. Had some really good times in there but life was also not very kind to me. It has not been an easy time.

I have to thank David for his patience. As he said, it's been discussed and is being fixed. It was never intentional from my side. I really feel very bad about it.

And thank you everyone for the words and messages. It should never have gotten this far, but if I mess up, I am willing to stand up and admit it. And do whatever I can to fix it.

I had to learn many hard lessons in my days...more to come, I'm sure.
One lesson I learned was when a person is confessing to a wrongly lived episode in their life, they're in a fairly high state of vulnerability.
At that time it's not such a good idea to give them one more slam.
They already know what they did...so just let them be there with it.
.
As you were, gents.

This !!

I do know what it is like to have the weight of the world crashing down on one's
shoulders. You end up spending 100% of your time putting out fires and just
trying to survive the day intact. I would not wish it on anyone, it is not fun.
It is very easy to have unintended loose ends or obligations when you are
in the survival mode.
The key is to get thru it without losing your mind, keeping your dignity intact as
well as common sensibilities. Having a good friend or a helping hand in a time
of need goes a long way to surviving the storm.
When things settle down, follow up with the loose ends and obligations and make them right. People will understand, at least the one's who care will.
Be kind to people, like Neil you never know what someone is going thru. Could
be a divorce, loss of a family member, a cancer diagnosis or just a bad day.
Neil, best of luck to you, I hope the sailing is smoother and the grass greener
in your future.
Targa,Keep up the great work, we don't need to lose a fine craftsman either.
We are all better off with both of you back on board !!

Good one.
Best to you, brother.
And to Neil and Dave.

Whew that's a lot of hurt to deal with. Good on you for manning up. Big respect for that.

I knew all too well of Neils situation. That is why it went 3 years before I took any action. But my gun is on its way back to me now and all is well..nice to have a happy ending. Thanks to all of you here for hearing and caring for both Neil and myself. It's why I love this place..

Peace..

That shows in your restoration threads that you love doing it and are a craftsman. I am glad I don't have anything I need done because it would be greatly disappointing not having that level of craftsmanship available.

Best group on the internet...I'm constantly telling others about the members of this forum.
I often copy/paste comments to friends.

I would not blink an eye to prepay for his work or just drive out there if I needed work done.
