Naked shot of my 1989 RG500 Gamma. Been riding it in and slowly jetting it to take advantage of ported cylinders that came in a box with the bike. Haven’t nipped it up yet!

Boy, did this bring back memories! My first bike was CL K5, differing from this only in color. Mine was green and white.

The good: it would carry two of us over just about any hill in 5th gear.
The bad: it was turning 1000 rpm for each 10mph in high gear. We put a lot of miles on that poor beast. Sold it to help make the down payment on our first house.
Thanks.

I've X4 my collection since I last saw this thread. And I'm enjoying all of them. Being an empty nester has its advantages.

2022 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
2014 Bonney T100
2006 HD Road King.

Still have my 1992 Duc Supersport I posted earlier. But it has not run in couple years.

Too many red flags from that other guy with the '87 so I passed. Hated the idea of a transport anyway.

So look what showed up earlier today on FB MP.

Yup....an '83 VF750.

$1,900.00

Pretty much in original condition and......in RWB livery - something I've always wanted.

It was in Daytona so I drove up in the Volvo, checked everything out, and bought it!

Title in hand....I will go to the tag office Monday - get the transfer, registration done and get a tag for her. Then I'll get a ride up and ride her home.

You should hear how SWEET that V4 sounds!

Will post better pics when I actually bring her home.

A little history on this model:

Not much love for Aprilia RSV4? Seems like someone here should own one or three.

Memories here as well. In my early 20's I had a bout of endo/pericarditis from an abscess following a botched wisdom tooth extraction. A couple of unsupervised UM students didn't know what they were doing. I ended up slouching in a spare bedroom that summer with the parents way out in the countryside. Had some money saved up working overtime hours at the pizza job because no bars or concerts and 20/$1 ramen and bicycles.

I ended up buying a 1971 Honda 350 which didn't run right. Then bought a junker 1970 350 for spares. Total of a couple hundred. Took both engines apart. Compared parts to see what "looked better". Put together a combo engine using the same gaskets etc that summer. Didn't know what I was doing at all. And I still don't. It ran, but one cylinder was not firing at all. Never figured that out. I still took dad on a 50mph run down the street and back. The best 1/2 mile of road ever.

Just picked this up. Same family ownership since new. Garages since 1977. 3800 miles. Should be a fun resurrection.

HWY 113 between Bigelow and Wye. I didn't take you on that one, but there are so many that are similar.
