Old school flathead flat tracker - pretty darn cool. Someone flipped the negative, though. That's the left side.
I was hoping for May-June Jeff but I think late August is more realistic now. I'm just now starting to get caught up from the move and have some new special projects from England to develop.

I flipped it to match the position/direction of yours. There's something about that bike that makes me yearn for one.

Picked her up this afternoon......new chock worked great. Only used 2 straps on the front and one over the seat to hold it and the tail fairing in place because they weren't really fastened in as normal.

A nightmare, an older friend of mine, roof collapsed on one of the garages. My current project, if I choose to accept, is to get the bikes (and there are many more) in selling condition and to sell them. As my friend approaches 80, and isn’t moving around as well as he use to (very limited mobility) he appears to have accepted the fact that his racing and riding days are long behind him.

If you decide to go to BMW, I can probably help you out with that.

My friend Tim is selling this in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Dang it.... I still have my beat up '83 Nighthawk 650 from college days sitting in a corner of my shop. Never considered a cafe project out of it..... Looks like I have a new future project. Just what I need.

Everything went fine today. I have some work ahead of me but am excited to get such an iconic bike in fairy decent condition to start with.

Most of the stuff missing in the photo came with the bike and was carried in my truck during transport.

P930d… wow!

Super cool!

Do you still have all of these creations? Do you ride them or are they more show pieces (either way, super cool).

Thanks the first 5 I sold or traded off. The yellow tracked one I actually scrapped and built a mini snowmobile with the parts. I still have the rest. I used to ride them all weekly or more. The last 4 years or so they havnt gotten much love I usually ride my 3 wheelers first. But yes I still get them out occasionally. The tiny red 3hp one was the first bike i built in high school. and the red chopper was the second tight after that. Its actually an old schwinn excersizer bike frame turned upside down. The mini blue bike with the bicycle engine I never really got it to run right I think it must be a faulty engine. I have a few more now that I know run right so I have to get it swapped out it would be nice to finally get that one running good.

Late with my response but those are pretty cool, 930!

Cleaned up some brake calipers for one of my Blue Interceptors. These little rotary tool brushes work great for removing old residue. I start of with an overnight soak in Simple Green then bring out the brushes.

Thank you, Shaun. Not as nice as your work but will do for my needs right now.

These are calipers I had in my spares stash.

The ones that came off that bike were too nasty to reuse without more work than I had time for right now. But I do intend to finish those and will try to re-paint them in gold from some spray paint I have coming. Should be interesting.

Here's the bike these will be going on......I picked it up in December so am a little behind on getting to these.
