What? No. I’ve blown through my motorcycle budget for the next ten years. Just a beautiful bike. Sad that I can’t have everything.

Very tempting but I'm trying very hard to maintain my purchasing freeze. That said......if it was local I'd grab it in a NY minute. The transport fee is what's giving my pause.....

Near Denver I think - but I'm good thanks. Appreciate the offer.
I may give the seller a call tomorrow just to chat a bit. Thanks again, boost!

This recent round of cold weather has got me spending more time in the garage. Just about finished up with the R 60/5.

^^^^^ i’d say those were a bit overdue! Here’s my engine from a couple of years ago. My slingers were so crusted over that I just went ahead and installed new ones.

Time for a new thermostat and seal, valve adjustment and oil/filter change.
The Interceptor is pretty easy and rewarding to tune. Happy my Nephew came for some extended visits last year and put a couple thousand miles on his Dad’s favorite motorcycle. It got vey hot a couple times he told me, he also noticed it dropped temperature quickly after hitting a big bump. Old Thermostat has enough gunk buildup that I hope this cures that issue- Glad to discover that I’d bought extra gaskets and oil filters so I can complete all the work without ordering anything. This bike was my older brother’s pride and joy even though he hadn’t ridden it for several years before he passed. He would have been 76 on the 29th, hard to believe he’s been gone for almost 6 years. Working on it this close to his birthday seems right now. Trying to keep it in top shape is time well spent. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

These vintage Interceptors are amazing and so enjoyable to work on, especially if you already have the parts on hand. I try to organize as many of my parts as possible but still have more work to do with them. Here are some electrical items I recently sorted.....

Just ran across a very cool YT channel.....here's the opening remarks:
Take the back road. Ride a little slower than you need to. Let someone pass – then wave like you meant it. Stop at that overlook you always ignore. Ride into a town you can’t pronounce. Get gas from a pump with no card reader. Talk to the old guy on the porch. Order black coffee even if it’s burnt. Don’t check the time – check the weather, the wind, the way the gravel road curves. Let the bike feel alive, not perfect. You don’t need more horsepower to go farther – just more time and fewer expectations. Ride something that makes you smile when it shouldn’t. Ride because you can. Ride because it matters. Ride your own ride. Check out his videos here: https://www.youtube.com/@SMALLMOTORCYCLEADVENTURES/featured

This bike has been meticulously set up with high-end, functional upgrades that address the common factory shortcomings. It is a turn-key adventure machine, ready for the BDR or a reliable daily commute. Premium Upgrades (~$1,500 Value): • Ergonomics: Seat Concepts Comfort Seat + Cool Covers 3D Mesh cover. • Tires: Dunlop Trailmax Mission 50/50 tires (< 300 miles since new) —excellent grip and famous for 10k+ mile longevity. • Controls: Hitchcocks Adjustable Levers and indestructible Doubletake Adventure Mirrors. • Protection: Givi Crash Bars, OEM handguards and an upgraded heavy-duty Skid Plate and headlight guard. • Luggage: Full Rear Rack and Side Luggage Racks. Condition: The bike runs perfectly and has been well-maintained. Clean title in hand, registered and insured through February. Located in Tucson. Communication and sale terms: Sales Terms: I am paying for this ad, so when it sells, I will remove it. My email is set up to auto-delete anything that contains the phrase "Is this still available?" or equivalent. To save us all some time, the least I could take cash today is $1, but I won't and won't consider any offers from anyone has not come to look at the bike in person. Feel free to reach out with any questions. This makes an awesome first bike or BDR/camping rig. I simply don't ride it any longer with other bikes in the collection to keep running—selling to reduce the fleet to a manageable number, so I am not looking for any trades. Price: $3,750 OBO Mileage: ~9,000 Video of what could be your next adventure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gImEhD4scKY
