I was in Milwaukee over the labor day weekend and Harley Davidson had a bike event. Two bikes caught my eye

I like the Hemi valve cover gas tank but after looking at it in more detail, this is truly a rat rod.

The other was driven from Mexico. I didn't realize bikes can have an air ride suspension.

This is one of my bikes. 2017 R NineT Racer. It is a lot of fun and is not too uncomfortable. I can't get to the last pages of this thread. Can anyone help me? Please pm me if you know how. Thanks.

No one can get to those two "last" pages. They don't exist. Several of the longer running threads on this forum have those phantom "last" pages. They are a forum glitch brought about when a long time member went back and deleted all of his posts. His actions completely crashed a couple of threads at least, and those that survived now have those "last" pages lingering on.

The suspension could have been better!

Love the R9 Racer. I suspect that will become a collectible. Went for a 200 mile ride yesterday on my 08 Guzzi California Vintage yesterday. A great day.

This is kind of a before and after

The day in 1973 when I bought my first Norton 750 (black) and the day I sold it in 2001 (blue) same bike.

Owned about a dozen 750's and 850's but this one was my favorite.

I've had me a Guzzi once, wanted that bike even before I got my motorcycle license.

I remember riding on days/roads like that.
One certainly didn't get complacent.
Love the picture.

We inherited this. My daughter thought it would be a good run about town bike so she cleaned it up. Needs some carb work since it is a 2008 with 704 miles and it sat a lot.

I joined a FB group for VFR's a week or so ago - and today saw a guy in Cleveland selling an '87 700 just like the one I have. In near perfect condition w/23K miles. Asking $5K.

I messaged him that I was interested and he said he'd call me tomorrow. Now I'm wondering if I should do this or not. I'm sure I could arrange shipping but the thing is I'm not sure I have the space for another bike at this time. I'm not even riding all the bikes I have. Of course it's like nine million degrees out right now so not the most pleasant riding conditions.

Thing is - these early VFR's are really special and to find one in mint condition is worth considering. None of mine are in this kind of condition.

Here are some pics. The first 2 pics are from his post. The others are from his FB page - the last one posted just 10 days ago so he just bought it, apparently..
