I see Red Bull has extended Albon's contract to 2020 . I'm sure he wants a long term deal but it's a start . I think he is a solid driver and will continue to get better .

Not F-1, but Macau, https://livestream.com/MacauGrandPrix/MacauGP2019-Global.

Amazing track. The meek need not apply.

Toto had announced he was skipping the last two races because the drivers and constructors championships had been wrapped up . Seemed plausible until the story that the Captain posted . I believe Toto was also quoted as saying there are no guarantees that Mercedes would be around for 2021 . Will be interesting to see how this plays out .

How many times I wonder, has Grosjean started in 7th grid position in his career.
Seems like every race it's his grid spot.

Enjoy the race.

Well, Ferrari died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Vettle just pulls a bonehead move again and takes out his own chance of finishing. And of course his teammate.

As Glen pointed out, Vettel did it to LeClerc. It seems like Vettel is harder on passing on his teammates than other teams.

Gutted for Albon.

Yep that was a very eventful last ten laps.
I don't think that Vettel likes that his teammate is doing so well and the crowds are cheering for him, rather than Seb.

Sure made for an interesting exciting/ disappointing finish.

Cheers Richard

In hindsight, it was boneheaded for Mercedes to pit Hamilton, but they probably thought: "What the heck? We've got the WCC and and WDC. We can take a risk."

Hamilton dove on Albon because he knew he only had two laps to get the job done. He was probably hoping that he could beat Albon to the apex or that he would go wide.

Vettel-love you buddy but you are done. Ferrari, hire a Nascar guy or borrow one from Haas to explain pit strategy.

Hamilton got a 5 sec penalty, back to 7th, Sainz on podium at 3rd. That's good
I guess.

Too bad for Albon. It looked like he gave Hamilton too much room and it was just a racing incident. What a hectic race though. Max definitely deserved that. Glad to see Honda has their Mojo back.

Wasn't that long ago that Red Bull was said to be stupid/foolish/would regret switching to Honda nice to see that wasn't true . I am not a Verstappen fan but like Albon .

My complaint about this relatively entertaining race is the post race call...
There was no doubt Lewis messed up when he took Albon out. Lewis himself admitted it immediately out of the car. Yet they sent him to the podium and then drop him...

It was Sainz's first damn career podium in F1 and he got robbed of it... That sucked. Would have been great to have him and Gasly up there... Poorly played. I'm really starting to believe MacLaren's complaints about air time too, never saw Sainz in the race but for a few seconds...

Also: Lewis messes up " My fault, I apologize". Seb messes up" What was Leclerc doing?"
Not looking great for Vettel, especially after he did that exact same chop to Mark Weber too (was it turkey?) !

Lewis admitted he screwed up, Albon admitted he didn't know exactly how close Lewis was and didn't protect the inside line enough, and then there's Vettel who admitted.... nothing.
