Is this the same rv- that you've had in your hangars for a little while now? (And refresh my memory; is this a 3 or a 4?)

A couple of small jobs this morning before the lady comes to cut hair. I used the tractor to tip the biggest water barrel so I could remove the bottom plug. Them got a jack stand under the front of a hay wagon so I could remove a wheel which was reluctant to hold air (a very undesirable trait in a wheel). I won't mess with the wheel, a friend has the setup.

Went to a friends house today to help him bleed the brakes on his SILs van. One of the calipers was locked up, so he bought a new pair, mounted them, but was having a hard time bleeding them.
I took a look, and he had the bleeder screws at the bottom*. We swapped them and bled the brakes. *He’s a good wrench and it was just something he overlooked. I’ve been there and done that somewhere. |

Removed the awful boob lights in the basement unit and replaced with “canless recessed LED” lights. These things are great - only need 2” depth, three lumen levels, five temperature levels, tiltable, don’t need to mount anything to joist, just cut appropriate size hole in ceiling drywall, connect up the wires, and pop the light into the hole, then rotate and angle the light as you wish. They have a little box that you make the connections in, which serves as the code-required junction box, then stuff that box into the ceiling and plug the pigtail into the light.

Installed a bunch of Yale Smart Locks. These are keypad-and-fingerprint replacements for a standard deadbolt. You can control who has access, give and revoke access, track who enters, etc. Standard key as well. Pretty awesome. Rather expensive. I’m going to replace all our deadbolts at home too.

Installed some Blink security cameras. I’ve raved about these before. The basic camera is battery powered, a pair of AAs lasts over a year if there’s not much activity, so there’s no wires to run. Other cameras need power connection, like if you want to pan/tilt , motion detection lights, etc. Motion detection, two-way audio, clips saved to cloud, etc. My account is pre-2020 so I don’t pay subscription fees.

Iv been building this shed. I got the base off the side of the road a few weeks ago its 8 x12 The lumber from the walls is all oak rough cut my neighbor had it all stacked down in his field getting rotten. I think his father had it all cut. Well they both died and i got the wood for nothing when the family was cleaning up the place. Its almost done i will park my jeep in it and have more room in my other shed for mowers and such. The roof is a bit lopsided looking because it is I made it a symetrical because thats the size of aluminum roofing I have to work with. Some of those planks are huge like 20" wide. Also worked on my forward control jeep a bit. The busted nut is all that was left of the rear u bolt nuts the other ones dissapeared they were even worse. I rethreaded the u bolts and put new nuts on.

Got the dash shot today. There's a piece of the dash color from a donor truck in that last photo... I like the new color better.

A week or two ago I bought a couple of saddles from a Bible camp. Cheap. I paid $40 for this one, the guy said it wasn't usable, but I didn't think it was too bad. But it was really dried out. I found out I couldn't adjust the fenders, that's probably why they stopped using it. I've been feeding the leather oil off and on for a week or so, and I finally got enough to loosen one side. This shows just how dry the leather was. Hopefully it will be usable once I get everything cleaned and re-oiled.

Condo Renovation: Kitchen Plan. We are extending the kitchen into to dining/living room eliminating the table and chairs and adding an island. Unfortunately there is a 6" PVC vent line that runs through the old wall that now runs through the new island. Couldn't re-route it so we had to work around it. The last rendering pic is of a bar that will be in the far corner of the living room. The back splash is translucent Slate-Tile stone veneer that will be backlit.

Yes.... many hours of masking... most of the day. A few minor touch ups here and there(rivets and panel overlaps), but once all the material is on and scuffed it'll get clear so it'll really pop.

Shot black today... I've taken to shooting the a/c bellies with dark colors, as even the best highest quality catalyzed paint will oil stain. We're using the p51 as an example for our cammo pattern, although we'll be using a blue candy mid coat over silver.
