bummer season 7 will be the last one.

aigel 05-26-2020 04:04 PM

I would not be surprised if Welliver called it quits, otherwise he'll end up like Columbo ...

Doing some reading, one thing I was amazed about was the fact that the crappy tats are actually Welliver's, not put on for Bosch. Talk about perfect tattoos for the Bosch character!

Just finished binging seasons 1 through 4 (wife go prime for me as a present) .

Unfortunately I can't find seasons 5 and 6.

Any hints or secret code words?

javadog 05-28-2020 02:07 PM

It's on Amazon Prime.

Baz 06-06-2020 12:44 PM

"Polar" on Netflix - watched today. VERY good - if you liked John Wick you'll love this one!

Steve Carlton 04-30-2021 05:44 AM

Looks like the final season 7 will release this summer sometime. Also, there will be a spin-off, which looks like it's about after he retires. Yay!

I just finished season 3 of the rewatch. It is even better the second time around. I know who is a character to watch and pay attention to, and who is just passing through as an extra. And the know the good guys from the bad guys.

I said it before, I wish ever police department had at least on Harry Bosch or more. The world would be a better place.

He's like a modern day Matt Dillion!

stevej37 04-30-2021 05:00 PM

Never seen it.
Not interested in watching an hour show about spark plugs.

javadog 04-30-2021 05:07 PM

It’s a good TV series and the books that it’s based on are extremely well written. Those of you that haven’t read the books, really ought to.

His name is "Coltrane" in the series.

I agree, I have the whole set. Then again, I'm crazy about crime/noir/old LA novels. Raymond Chandler is the gold standard.

javadog 04-30-2021 06:48 PM

Raymond Chandler is justifiably famous but Michael Connelly is a better writer.

He’s got a great eye for detail and LA, in particular.

wildthing 04-30-2021 09:29 PM

While waiting for Bosch I watched Invincible and it is pretty good. You all should watch it. Yes it's a cartoon. Yes it's about superheroes. But it's for adults.

He was the LA Times crime beat writer for decades.

Yeah, I think he even has a book with some of his stories from that era.

He has the details down pat.

We do. Some of us "old dogs" are relentless in pursuing the truth, no matter how that shakes out. I think this series is the best cop show there is because it depicts the craziness, difficulties and politics of policework.

I was hoping you liked it. So often the folks that live a job for real, depicted on TV say it is laughably bad.

Any movie dad ever saw about the Air Force pilots had glaring errors to his eyes.

I see silly errors about professional photography all the time.

speeder 05-08-2021 01:17 PM

I see silly errors in the portrayal of playboys and men of leisure. They never get it right.

That's really just sad that someone has to go through that while doing his job in a courteous manner. Some people see her as a product of today's politics but I see her more as an example of rampant mental illness in society these days. Just sad. :(

Looks like season 7 will start on June 25th, and possible the 8 episodes (previously 10 per season) will release week by week instead of all at once.

JackDidley 06-06-2021 08:50 PM

Season 7 does start on the 25th. They're also doing a spinoff where Bosch quits the force and becomes a P.I. Coincidently the first episode starts shooting 6/25.

stevej37 06-08-2021 03:51 PM

Season 7...Iridium rules.

Steve Carlton 06-24-2021 08:35 PM
