Hot and humid today, 94 F. TV says this year's max temp was yesterday at 97F. T-storms are circling the area, we are supposed to see much cooler temps later this week, and maybe a tropical storm remnant Thursday or Friday. We've had little bangers the last 2 nights, lots of branches and dead stuff fallen down in the woods now.

I worked on the 330 today in the garage. Temps were in the low 90s, but felt like 104. I would work an hour, then go inside for an hour, alternating. I use a squirrel cage fan to blow warm air on me.

If you soak your T shirt the fan will cool you. That's what I do. It even works in humidity.

Good idea. A few weeks ago, I worked in the driveway in the sun, but hooked up a misting system to my squirrel cage fan. Maybe I had it too close, but it felt like I was working in the rain.🤪

Misting systems aren't as effective in high humidity as they are in low humidity environments. For them to work the water needs to evaporate. If the humidity is too high that doesn't happen at a high enough rate. They work great in AZ.

Our low temp tomorrow is supposed to be 69*. I'm looking forward to it. That's the lowest we've been since April or maybe early May. That's a sign to me that the weather is changing

91 w/72% humidity.....lot of sweating while working outside!

Busy this morning at 3 of my 4 accounts and then back home after taking a mini-break (see the MOVIES thread ) tidying up a few items ahead of any stormy weather.

Hoping we get some rain to cool us off a tad.......

Rains just started about 15 minutes ago, thank heaven. Temp down to 76.....w/92% humidity but still a nice badly needed cool down!

I'm pretty much all set for the storm except I forgot to bring down my flag. Will try to do so later when the rain lets off......we also have thunder/lightening so it's not me being afraid of getting wet.....

You are a pretty sweet fella. Sugar melts in the rain, big guy!

Stay safe, folks!

Front moved through and the last couple days it's really made a difference!

Low 70's at night and upper 80's during the day.

Been getting stuff done outdoors as much as possible....not sure how long this will last...lol.....

We're only in the low 90's here but the humidity is equally high and there isn't a whisper of a breeze. I can't stay outside more than 15 minutes. Dang sure I won't be riding my bicycle today.

Around 90° here the last few days. By Thursday it will be mid 80s and the heat wave should be over for the year.

We are closing in on 70 days over 100 degrees here for the year. Saturday was our 66th over 100 and I'm pretty sure we hit it on Sunday and Monday.

My grandkids are being dismissed from school after a half day due to the heat. Now I know that most if not all of us sweated our azzes off during the early days of a new semester but there is no reason for our grandkids to deal with this heat in school.

It wasn't as hot when you were a kid.
