The ac insurance situation is getting out of hand. Our state made many pilots outlaws by requiring liability. Many can't afford even liability, think they're going to not fly? About a third of the multiple ton rvs lumbering down the road would be parked if their drivers had to pass an aviation type medical... and they are far more dangerous to the public.
Things are really messed up... the progressive flavor of progress..... isnt.

So very true….
I was quoted $5K for basic on the VariEZ when I poked around.

Regarding RV’s, no driver’s physical or vehicle safety inspection. How bloody safe it that?!?!? Oh yeah, it’s not. The world is upside down on so many levels.

I can't imagine owning an airplane without liability at a minimum. I know many forego hull insurance but the risk seems too great to skip liability.

I worked an accident investigation recently where the pilot had a bad cylinder and had to do a forced landing in his 172. He actually did a great job of getting it on the ground but because oil covered the windshield he didn't see a fence post which he hit and damaged the wing spar.

His insurance company denied coverage because he had let his medical and flight review lapse. An expensive lesson. I don't want to even think about what would have entailed if someone had been injured.

If you fly keep your medical and flight review current!

I know a guy who owns a Bell 407 - commercial pilot with 6000+ hours but he flies it privately. His annual premium is $70,000.

Deploy the hair missile! Fox-1

I said that over the radio at work when a K-9 was deployed…… I was counseled.

Awesome video from the air and worth getting lectured. I also was told the words “Twerking in the intersection” was also unacceptable.

The fuselage is built in Kansas, shipped to Washington for final assembly.

Useless tidbit: 737 final assembly is at the Renton airport.
The runway is too short for a 737 to land legally.
Once the airplane leaves the factory, it will never return.

When they are not running off the end of the runway...

...the Navy's new P-8As (based on Boeing 737) have replaced all the P-3Cs in the fleet, except for the two reserve squadrons. A lot of P-3s were sold off to export markets (Japan, Canada, New Zealand) but the rest of 'em are just parked out in the AZ boneyard:

Pretty sure the one I spent time in is out there too:
