I met Charlie Kaman in Bloomfield, CT.
It is difficult for me to separate his absolute genius with some of his products. I flew the H-2F at VX-1 and it was charitably, a mess...three flights, three RTB's, one an emergency. That and the absolute poorest human factors of any aircraft I have flown, helo or fixed wing, and I have flown a lot of different aircraft. The heavy lift stuff is amazing and I watched the K-Max fly...surreal. That said, different time, different place. RIP.

Looks like it’s Airbus’ turn for an event.
A fire started at the shore power to the plane before deplaning. Nobody tried to put the fire out and there was no firetruck within the first four minutes or so. As you watch the passengers exit the plane via the slides, it’s amazing how many more people got out on the wings versus the aft most exits. A new video has captured the moment the front of a Delta plane burst into flames after landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport last week. The Airbus A321neo had just arrived Monday from Cancun, Mexico when the 189 passengers onboard were ordered to evacuate on emergency slides due to a fire in the plane’s nose area, according to KOMO News. https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/delta-plane-catches-fire-seattle-dramatic-new-video

A lot of folks hauling their cary on baggage with them down the slides. I guess that rule is not enforced at all these days.

I'm a fan of the "Growler Jams" videos on YouTube. "Pail" usually narrates the details of FA-18 operations. In this video, he's doing something different:

The A-10, in my mind, is the finest aircraft ever built.
