Something I've been following for a bit is this Youtube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/user/Jonas27

Jonas Marcinko has made numerous videos of his travels in his Kitfox (a light sport aircraft). Some of his antics involve landing near remote auto gas stations in the scrub brush, fueling up, and taking off again.

What are the rules/regs for/against doing something like that? Or just travelling cross-country at low altitudes and putting down wherever you'd like? (I'm not a pilot - am curious how this works.)

https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/worlds-largest-all-electric-passenger-aircraft-makes-maiden-flight
Flight Global said propulsion company Magnix and AeroTEC, an engineering and flight test specialist, swapped out the plane's Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboprop engine with an all-electric propulsion system, that can produce 750hp.

The current configuration of eCaravan has passenger capacity between 4-5 with a flight range of 100 miles.

He said the eCaravan is designed for low-cost travel between cities, and eventually, be able to travel up to 500 miles that would be used for regional flights. A 100-mile flight cost about $6 in electric, opposed to a conventional Cessna 208B using jet fuel, would cost a few hundred dollars with today's fuel rates.

It's okay if you're landing away from controlled airspace - you need permission from the property owner. Notifying local law enforcement would be a good idea as well.

If he's in the middle of nowhere without the above no one may notice but he is taking a chance, he'll eventually upset somebody, they'll write down his N number and make a phone call to local authorities. A Kitfox doesn't make a lot of noise so he probably doesn't attract a huge amount of attention. In the middle of nowhere, a one time occurrence may be thought of as a novelty so he's getting away with it.

As a passenger I was once privy to some loops and rolls in a Citabria.
The airspeed and power tolerances were quite thin for that aircraft, it was creaking while we were bouncing and shaking.

For those near Tx and Az with (relatively small)money to burn for a lifetime experience: https://fightercombat.com/

I had the chance to go up in a Citabria with a friend who went through an aerobatics school course. What fun !! The aircraft didn't creak or groan. I remember it had a rating for positive & negative G forces, though I don't remember now what they were.

Self-launching glider.
There are many.
Some with smaller weaker folding electric front props. Battery fires have been reported however.

Bonanza and Baron use the same gear.
The Bonanza was introduced in 1947, when most small airports still had turf runways.
The gear is very stout. No modifications were needed for the Baron's higher weights.

Yes, oops, was thinking of the Travel Air (used the Mentor gear) which was stouter.

A B-17 on a bombing run has multiple engines damaged. The crew bails.
The engines restart by themselves and the plane later lands perfectly at a British airbase.

Here it is landing:

I can't listen to those video's narrated in thick accent like that.. it makes my ears bleed
Nothing against accents, but if you wanna make somekind of living with documentary stuff, aimed internationally.. at least try to get yer accent under control a little bit.

His accent seems to switch from Indian to French to German to East European something.
It was difficult for me to figure out.
