I hope the rest of FL gets as light a hit as Brevard County. Was just like Paul described. I took off most of the front door shutters to get some natural light again.

Paul, we were the same way. We tried to go for walks yesterday and the patches of rain kept us inside.

We hardly got any rain with this storm, I dropped my pool over a foot in anticipation of the forecasted 16" of rain. It turned out to be a very dry storm here.

I hope the Carolina gang makes out as good as Florida has.
Yea, I was saying yesterday, that this was the best Pre-Hurricane weather I have ever seen, lots of sun, not so much rain.

Harbor Town marina live cam @ 6:10 PM today. Looks pretty light, but it will get rougher through the evening.

Just came in from doing some cleanup work outside. I wanted to blow off the patios, walks, and drives and also rake up all the screw pine leaves that shed during the storm. The heat index tomorrow is supposed to be off the charts so thought I'd get a head start while the sun was still covered by clouds. It was still muggy out, of course. I also rinsed all the plant litter off my truck so it will be ready to go in the morning.

Good luck to all in Dorian's path!

We were going to leave all the shutters up, way too depressing inside dark house. We took them down, well, all the easy ones I left one set up because they are a PITA to put up and take down. I shot an email to a contractor friend, I am looking to replace those with roll down style, then that opening can be closed in 5 minutes.

Yesterday here was nice and windy and cloudy, the sun is coming out today, it is pretty still and what breeze there is, is coming from the SW.

Its gonna be a super humid hot day and I have a long day ahead of me we are so behind with clients I may have to work through this weekend. I am trying to bust ass today and tomorrow to avoid that.

SC and NC you are in my thoughts today, keep safe and may damage be minimal.

The reports coming out of the Bahamas are sad, there are lots of collection points here for donations, some of them breweries I am planning on stopping off Saturday to drop some supplies off to be sent over by ship.

Planes cannot land in Grand Bahama, all the airports are flooded.

Also reports of sharks swimming up and down streets. Its insanity there.

Pictures from the Bahama’s are crazy. Hope they recover quickly.

Dorian is off the coast of Charleston now. Lots of wind and rain, but everything is good so far.

Of course, downtown Charleston is flooded, but it floods when it sprinkles rain.

My brother has a place on Emerald Isle. He got away easy last year - some minor roof damage and damage to his dock.
