I use CBD oil almost daily sublingually. It seems to have taken the edge off my anxiety. I bought a 30 ml bottle of 1000mg THC free tincture from “beam”.

CBD works for me. Helps me sleep. Aids with anxiety control. Some pain relief. I have been using on a daily basis for over 18 months.

The quality of the CBD is everything. Some of the chemical processes used by certain producers are harsh enough to destroy the beneficial organic compounds of the oil. I have found the a full spectrum CBD produces the best results. Elixinol has become my "go to" manufacturer. Great product.

My wife is a physician who specializes in pain management.

While there are many wild claims about CBD, there is no question that is does have areas where it is a effective. This is particularly true of kids with epilepsy. Her objection to the whole thing is that there are standard treatments that are often more effective, and there is no regulation of the industry, so it's very questionable what people are getting.

Now, I’d like to try something different to control it and help me sleep.

Being a creature of habit (or OCD) I’d want something I can take either in the morning, at night or both as needed. Seems capsules or a cream would be easiest vs drops.

Recommendations?

I have a rescue Labradoodle that has crazy anxiety.. I give him a couple of CBD doggie treats and it helps a lot.

After my second rotator cuff surgery I took Opioids for two days. The pain was crazy bad. The Opioids made me loopy directionless. Stopped taking them and with a bit of CBD I was able to cope.

A few weeks ago I read an article about CBD oil. It might work IF you get the right stuff. The problem with it now that is CBD has become a fad and all kinds of charlatans are trying to cash in. The stuff they tested varied widely in the amount of CBD it contained. There are no standards and no regulation. There is an industry association, but it only only "certifies" the people who push it, it doesn't promote any quality or quantity standards.
I would find out what they guys here use that has helped and get what they use. Otherwise it's a crapshoot.

In States that have legalized medical marijuana, patients can obtain regulated CBD products as well as THC and CBD combinations, and are widely used for pain management, as well as successfully weaning patients from opioids and psychiatric medicines.

A State that forbids medical marijuana is doing a disservice to it’s citizens in this day and age.

Will let you know when my babies bloom. 😄😄

Talked to my doc today about it. Showed him online what I was taking and he said it was weak sauce. Recommend Lazarus and I’ll order when I use up my existing stock (which he said take 20ml vs the 5-10ml dose on the bottle to get the best effect.

Both CBD and THC are natural compounds of the Cannabis genus. Meantime, THC is the main psychoactive compound that gives the “high” sensation, but CBD not, you will not have any mental dysfunction while using it. So to speak, not snake oil at all. Frankly speaking, CBD does work for me. I can't say anything about stuff MLM, I give my preference for strawberry gummies by baeys.com. Indeed, a reliable and proven product, absolutely Vegan, GMO-free and not expensive. Same results, as mentioned above - helps a lot with inflammation and anxiety.

I have had a bad case of Plantar fasciitis come back . Been dealing with it for about 3-4 weeks, doing the icing , and stretching exercises. Its been getting worse, despite new shoes, inserts , and all my other efforts
I was almost a cripple by last Friday afternoon . Desperate to try anything, and reading that CBD has good anti inflammatory properties, I ran out and grabbed some topical creme over the weekend .
I am going to keep at it
Maybe its just the other stuff working, but tonight ( even after a day in the shop on my feet) is the best I have felt in a month .

RWebb 06-29-2020 04:45 PM

are you on an anti-inflammatory?

fastfredracing 06-29-2020 04:46 PM

No.

RWebb 06-29-2020 04:52 PM

you might ask about that

fastfredracing 06-29-2020 04:55 PM

Thank you, I will remember that if this persists. I really think this came on from bad footwear. As soon as the weather broke here, I put away my super comfy work boots, and started wearing a pair of worn out work shoes from last season .
My feet hurt every day, and I ignored the signs, and kept pushing on . Then it got really bad.
I do not like to take medicines. I try to keep it all to a minimum

gchappel 06-29-2020 05:46 PM

I don’t know what all you have tried for plantar fasciitis. I had it bad 20 yrs ago. I went to several specialists throughout the us, little improvement. I met an 80yr old retired podiatrist while doing some photography along the beach. He had some simple sounding ideas, 3weeks later I was painfree.
1. Arch supports are vital. Wear shoes with support ALL the time. The barefoot never touches the ground. Not at night to go take a whiz. Not in the shower. Never. You are trying to repair the band that holds your arch, every time you step without support you retear it and start over.
2. Get a night brace, that dorsiflexes the foot.
Ice and anti inflammatory make you feel better, but don’t really fix anything.
Not sure how cbd fits in
Good luck. I was ready to cut my foot off. I have to wear the brace a week or so a year now when I feel it coming back, but basically I am pain free.

In fact if you are using a tincture it can do wonders to calm anxiety.

My daughter tried some of mine while home for the summer.

She's now doing .5 ml in the morning and again before bed.

No longer using the prescription meds her doc had her on for anxiety.

That pleases me

CBD oil helps a lot of people who suffer from anxiety, insomnia, or feel body pain. I even read somewhere that it helps people with low metabolism to lose weight. However, there is no scientific proof that CBD can work as a medicine. It works for some people, while there is no effect on others. I personally tried CBD oil when I was suffering from insomnia, and nothing helped me. I ordered a couple of samples on knockoutcbd.com, and when I’ve and it worked perfectly. Now, I use it when I’m stressed or again cannot fall asleep.

Thought I'd revive this thread since I just gave CBD oil a try for some pain in my knee post surgery. I had my meniscus repaired about 4 weeks ago. Things were going okay but for some reason, now I'm having some pain and swelling after walking or being on my feet most of the day. I started applying twice per day and my knee feels MUCH better. It might be partly due to the massage as I work the oil into but I was massaging once per day with Biofreeze before. I've been relatively pain free since I started applying where I couldn't say the same before with just Biofreeze and massage.

I let my daughter apply some for her TMJ issue as well. She said it helped with the pain she was experiencing. It didn't do what Botox injections do for her but she said it did help reduce the pain associated with the issue.

Did you continue to walk and be on your feet all day while using the CBD ? Also, did the doctor tell you that recovery would be a few weeks anyway? How do you know the pain would not have stopped after 4 weeks naturally?
