I'm just damned impressed that the OP is enough of an ichthyologist to understand that a Walleye is not a "pickerel" as has been maintained for decades by my ill-informed Canadian brotheren in eastern Canada.
As to your being out-of-pocket $.30 - I have little sympathy. Canadians may disagree about the names of our fish but we are universally agreed that Americans (no offense intended) are disease laden, corona breathing zombies atm. But we do apologize for any inconvenience. |

Wonder if this will also be the case in the Boundary Waters/Quetico PP area. A bit more difficult to enforce.
Should be leaving for a Manitoba fly in trip today. Not happening. At least our host is crediting our payment to the same time next year. I have heard the pickerel thing as well. Also Northern Poke called Jackfish.
