Well, Paramount and Peacock have both fkucd me in a the butt so I guess my involvement with YS ended with S3-10. So when Amazon will sell S4, I'll just buy the mother for $20.
Done with TV apps. (edit By pushing buttons on the remote I was somehow able to circumvent Paramount Network and watch S4 E1 for free. No dice for E2 as I had to call some number and some Eastern Indian answered. Ever try to communicate with them? I don't communicate well with people from India so I hung up. No way to continue a sign up online, how stupid is that?Anyway, that is not my main point to make. S4 E1 as you know features a massive automatic weapons gunfight. Just guessing, 500 rounds were fired from a variety of weapons and the bad guys died. I may not have seen all the details, but it seems Kayce was the only one to suffer a flesh wound that was healed by the end of the episode. How remarkable. IDT I'll miss much if I never see another episode of Yellowstone. Oh wait, there's more. — how about Beth getting blown up, 3rd degree burns all over her body and sitting there asking for a cigarette? She too was healed by the end of the episode and screwing Rip's brains out with healed scars all over her back. Charming. Walt Disney didn't tell a better fairytale. 1883 will debut its first episode on Sunday, December 19, with the first episode appearing on Paramount Network and Paramount+. The second episode will also air on Paramount Network on Sunday, December 26. I hope I don't have to join another streaming service to watch that.

The crazy automatic weapons firing hundreds of rounds and the hero standing behind a car door is just TV and all Hollywood movie bs. It happens in every movie shootout or chase. Bad guys all shoot like Star Wars storm troopers. Can’t hit anything except bit players. Never the hero or main good guys, except a shoulder on occasion. It is really silly and tiring how many guys can outrun a spray of bullets hitting right behind them as they run.

I'm a huge fan, but commented last night that the only decent dialogue last night was between John, Rip and Beth. All the other scenes just seemed....bleh. Like they aren't even trying.
I subscribed to Paramount+ to watch 1883 and the app continues to glitch out on me....and there's ads. I'm hoping its only because I'm still within my free trial? I'd hate to pay and still have to watch ads. The glitches turned a one hour episode into a two hour ordeal. I tried it through (Cox) cable and via WiFi on my TV. Definitely a problem with Paramount+. 1883 was pretty good, but I would've liked to have watched in peace. I was pissed the whole time.

G'day!

Loved the shootout scene at the restaurant except bummer about the sheriff.....he was a good guy.
As far as 1883......I watch a fair amount of westerns from the 50's, 60's, and 70's and while the production back then isn't as spiffy as new ones.....the dialogues, character development, and story lines/plots are much better, IMHO. Acting too! Also, I have found I need to deploy CC to even understand what they are saying now. The old stuff comes through crystal clear. Tell me how that is advanced.....

If you have T-Mobile or Sprint as a carrier, you can get 1 year of Paramount+ free. I agree that overall Paramount+ sux but at least I didn't have to pay for it (but you get a LOT of commercials)..
https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/paramount-plus-deal and per Baz, the sound is so bad on "Mayor of Kingston" we also have to turn on CC on it also otherwise it is just a lot of mumbling.... can't understand any of them.

I watched it and thought it was pretty good, but I'm not signing up for Paramount+. Paramount may decide to put it on regular Paramount in a coupla years... if so, I'll give it a look then.

A bit on folk's sound issues: We have a sound bar with sub woofer. I've noticed that on some shows I have to turn off the enhanced surround type sound (all are different so I don't know what to call it specifically). Essentially what I'm doing is focusing the sound to just provide the center channel voice and lessen the background music and other noises. On some shows it works great and is necessary.
Edit: if you are using only TV speakers that is also a problem. My 88yo FIL just got a new TV and a few weeks later was having me buy him a sound bar. The TV speakers were on back of TV and pointed at the wall. He was not getting good voice sound.

Three things about Yellowstone. 1st, I'm enjoying the heck out of it, but 2 it's hard to accept that it's set in contemporary time so OK set that aside and 3, how can Jimmy be so freakin' stupid.
