^^^^cool shot right thar - couple of dudes doing manly work out in the street with a rent-a crane that was towed there. Also to left in the driveway- early Corvette w/ body work underway apparantly, with an early / mid 60's Caddy parked beside it.

Of course, not a HOA rep in sight

I really have no idea who she is or what kind of music she does.

Daft Punk is some of the most beautiful, inspiring and unique music/film I've experienced in the last 25 years. I'm not even really into electronic or dance stuff.

If you cant see how cool they were, it is TRULY your loss...

Yeah, still can't. Ironically (prob not) I don't get LCD Soundsystem (they ref Daft Punk in one of their more annoying songs) either. To each his own or whatever...

Grimes is awesome electropop for me. Before things got weird she was super cool and open on engineering things her way. Super catchy and hooky from my POV, too.

But can we come to agreement on the Misty guy? Can we just punch him?

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Seriously... so immensely talented. I remember being at a wedding in around 2005 where nearly everyone was on the dance floor wedding-dancing/semi-dancing to a fast classic, maybe "September" from Earth, Wind and Fire or something like that. Then "One More Time" started up and though most stayed on the floor to be good sports there was less dancing from the older generation. There was this one guy, probably early 80s, standing near us and he was doing a little hip sway to the beat.

Then the song got to the "why don't you play the game" break and as the music started to swell he was just kind of looking around like he expected the song to wind down and end... and then the "one more time" drop came in and I will never forget the look on his face at that moment: the guy looked startled, as if the bride had just flashed her ass at him. One beat later the startled look became one of pure wonder and delight and he started absolutely BREAKING IT DOWN which quickly inspired the other older people to break it down too. Many of the people at this wedding were from Sri Lanka (as was this old guy) and he started doing the "turn the light bulb" South Asian dance move that you may be familiar with. He looked like he had just discovered something wonderful, which I'm pretty sure he had.
