It is amazing how poor the build quality was on the Pantera.

Great looking car, but the article bugged. "As the sun sets on the internal combustion engine..." Well, I don't like that, and I don't think that's true. I may be biased, but from what I've read there remains to be built nearly one billion of them worldwide before they go the way of Dino.

But thanks for the post - what an awesome (and clearly timeless) design that car was!

I went to a music festival in Stanley and had a few beers with cowboy poet Baxter Black at the Rod and Gun Club...

How about an Al framed 1911? What is the metal that a lot of spoon parts are made of these days, essentially some sort of pressed powder or something like that? I'm guessing that any spoon that hits the pavement at speed and is then run over could have issues.

Not that I don't like a metal spoon, but the plastic spoons have their place and are good at what they do.
Not what he said now was it.
he said the gun was wrecked.. and he had no room for plastic guns either way.
Which is understandable, plastic guns just ain't got all that much style or character.

They work fine, so they are utilitarian.. but they just ain't sexy.

It's like a Tesla. sure they can accelerate fast But I wouldn't want one if they gave it to me for free.. (i'de take it and sell it right away tho).

There isn't a plastic gun ever made that will ever be better looking then a 1911.

My parents lived in Japan for three years....they have that lamp, uh, helmet.

I love it.

BTW, if I am wrong about the origin of the helmet design, oops.

Fantastic gun and tradition. My dad had a gun that was supposed to be something that I'd inherit, but it was stolen in a burglary when I was 12 or 13. A reasonable facsimile is not the same gun, but still reminds me of him.

I think that could be a Japanese style. It also reminds me of some Spanish, Portuguese, and Mexican pottery, but I think you're correct that it's more Asian based.

Plastic isn't all that bad. I'd rather have practical than pretty and unreliable when I have the need to use one. I also would rather 22-24 oz than 35-40 oz hanging on my belt in cc all day. I grant you that no one ever said "Good looking Glock" but there are other options
