There's an original speakeasy in my area....not as nice as the one you pictured.
They have photos all over from the 20's and 30's pinned to the walls.

I wonder if it was just fictional. I looked at some pictures and it depends on the relative size of people inside it. Some pictures make it look impossible, and some pictures imply enough room if the people are small enough. Why was the ship always buried nearly halfway into the ground?

Did you know that when the Allies landed 156,000 troops on D-Day, one woman also made the landing at Normandy on June 6, 1944? Prior to D-Day, the British government accredited hundreds of journalists and photographers to cover the landings but all women who applied were turned down. One woman, Martha Gellhorn, a seasoned American war correspondent refused to take no for an answer. She stowed away in the bathroom of a hospital ship and later landed on the beach disguised as a stretcher bearer. As a result, Gellhorn was the first woman on the front lines and the only female journalist who covered D-Day firsthand.

Ford sold the complete factory to the Soviet Union in 1928, building Ford Model A cars and AA trucks. They were also being made and used in England, France, Germany and Hungary. The T-34 tank with Christie suspension was pretty much an American tank, and the Soviets took a 1926 BMW aviation V12 block and made it into a diesel for the T-34

Post WWII Mig-15 was actually designed by Siegfried Gunther, who along with 6000 engineers and scientists had to go to the Soviet Union(Werner Von Braun came to the US as part of Operation Paperclip)The engine was the Rolls Royce Nene, which then they copied and improved
Only gradually by the late 80's and into the post soviet period in 1991 did the new Russian Federation achieve industrial independence-
