It started with a few flakes and with in an hour it made us stuck there and we had to leave our bikes on the road and looked for a shelter. That's why the Rio Negro in the Amazon in Brazil is called the Rio Negro.

this is where the Rio Negro (left side) meets the Rio Solimoẽs (from the right) at Manaus in Brazil. The Rio Negro gets its color from the decaying organic matter in the forest essentially turning the river into "forest sun tea". While the Rio Solimoẽs gets its color from sediment that is stirred up and carried in the river.

In 1966-67 I attended 9th grade at George Washington Jr. High School in Ordot, Guam. I found it on Google Maps and it appears that it has since been renamed Agueda Johnson Middle School.
