Oh come on. Just slowly left click click on the image, and when the file name is highlighted, change the extension from PNG to JPG. It will not work on a PDF or TIF file, but PNG is easy, rename and upload.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cool History: Oct. 25, 1955 - The first microwave oven for home use was introduced by the Tappan Company. It initially failed to catch on because it was large, expensive, and only available in built-in/wall-mounted. Also, many didn't understand (or trust) microwave technology, and their food being zapped by invisible rays. The 1955 Tappan model (intended for home use, and with technology licensed from Raytheon) used 220 volts, cost $1,295 (over $12,500 in today's dollars), and only a few homes had one. Raytheon coined the term "Radarange" in 1946. It was the first commercially available microwave. It was almost 6 ft tall, weighed 750 lbs, and cost about $5,000 (over $76,500 in today's dollars). Raytheon acquired the Amana Corporation in 1965, and introduced the first countertop microwave oven in 1967, which they named the Radarange. It wasn't cheap, either - at $495 (almost $4200 in today's money). So, two decades after its invention, the microwave oven finally caught on in American homes in the form of Amana's compact unit. Now, over 90% of US homes have a microwave oven. ![]() ![]()

We had a Montgomery Ward microwave/convection oven. It was a beast. Our house was burglarized while we were out of town and it was stolen along with my stereo components. We lived in a patio home with a brick privacy wall in front. The idiots did not buzz the latch on the wrought iron gate (the button right inside the door they broke in) to let themselves out and hoisted everything over the wall smashing all the shrubs. A speaker grill was left in the foliage along with a few other things.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Chrysler A57 Multibank, comprised of five 6-cylinder inline engines joined onto to a common output shaft. This engine powered the M4A4 Sherman. All in, it had 30 cylinders, 30 spark plugs, displaced 20.5 litres (1,253 cu in) and weighed over 2.5 tons. Total output was 450 hp and 1,440 Nm (1,000 lb ft) of torque. Despite its complexity, the A57 was actually a very reliable engine. However, due to its large size, the M4A4 Sherman had a slightly longer hull to accommodate it. ![]() ![]()

Dad also bought a Tappan countertop micro back in 75 or 76. It weighed a ton, about 80 lbs.

Some pics are already named .png or .jpg. I think I have 'hide file properties' on. Windows could be easier to use. I just use batch conversion with irfanview. Does all of em at one. Batch Conversion. Go to source folder. Select file type. Add all. On left click Use This Folder. Start Batch Conversion. The menu GUI is a little quirky but it works. ![]()

They also carried 15 aircraft more, despite being much smaller carriers than current CVN Ford Class : Yorktown 36 × Grumman F4F Wildcat 36 × Douglas SBD Dauntless 18 × Grumman TBF Avenger CVN81 Aircraft carried 75ish And modern jets and all the systems are just so complicated , There are no planes to spare and either they are up on deck & flying or down below for regular maint, or major repairs or hangar queen/parts donor.. they have to be accessible.. ![]()
