Day 6 of isolation because of my third bought of covid
I'm starting to feel a bit like Jack Torrance in The Shining Forbidden City    Snooping a street board game in an old Hutong, Beijing "Busted"  Nothing like a mysterious hot dog type meat, at an Airport in China  Some rather large bags of Tea   Morning pep talk before opening electronics store.  Child labor....our waitress at a restaurant in Xi'an  Various meats on stick

 Sunset at an Oklahoma City lake.    Life-sized sculpture of Megalania by Vlad Konstantinov and Andrey Atuchin for the Queensland Museum. I am really happy those are extinct. Some fool would bring in a baby, to the USA and let it go free when it got too big.   Rollercoaster Road in Allamakee County, Iowa. When we left out of Sacramento, CA out into the desert towards Las Vegas we came to a road that had a 65 MPH speed limit, and hills like that. My 911 was loaded with two weeks of luggage for two people, and my wife and I felt it compress the suspension, and almost get airborne time after time. It was a crazy road. No way would I speed on that road.

    A Young Clint Eastwood Working on his 1958 Jaguar XK150  What a deal!! Oklahoma, 1939... Noonday dinner, family-style, at restaurant in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The price of this dinner was fifteen cents. It included a medium-sized serving of meat, sliced tomatoes and corn on the cob, potatoes, dumplings, corn bread and butter, tea and coffee, various jellies and preserves and onions. All you wanted of everything except the meat... Source Farm Security Administration (Russell Lee photographer)  Chickasha, OKlahoma! They have a 50 foot tall Christmas Story leg lamp! They have several little shops on Chickasha Ave to meander through. They are gearing up for their annual Christmas Festival of Lights with lots of pop up shops and activities (later in November) If you’re wondering why a leg lamp? The original leg lamp that was the inspiration for the Christmas story was created by an OU art professor that was born and raised in Chickasha. Everyone was so kind and outgoing. It’s worth the trip.

      When you are on Route 66 and passing through Stroud, Oklahoma, be sure and grab a bite to eat at the historic Rock Cafe established in 1939. You might even meet the owner, Dawn Welch, who was the inspiration for the animated character Sally Carrera (the Porsche) in the original Pixar film CARS. She is even mentioned in the credits.

 Lots of funny stories getting discussed I suspect.     Typical BMW turn signal switch.  Geological Marker at 3 States just east of Atlanta TX marks the spot where Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana come together. TX77/LA1 at state line.
