The 1965 Dodge Coronet A990 stands as a legendary icon in the world of drag racing. Equipped with a powerful 426 cubic inch Hemi engine, this model was specifically engineered for NHRA competition. Dodge produced just 101 units, featuring a lightweight design with bucket seats from the A100 truck line.
While most A990s retained the standard wheelbase, a few were transformed into "funny cars" with altered wheelbases. This unique modification involved moving the axles forward, which placed the front wheels just behind the fender and the rear wheels nearly under the rear seat. This shift in weight distribution enhanced traction, giving these cars a crucial advantage at the starting line. The A990 remains a symbol of raw power and innovative design in automotive history

We still have a Formica table in the kitchen...and use Fiestaware dishes every day.

Another unique Indy car engine. This time the Ilmor/Mercedes/Penske 209 cu in pushrod V8. 1000+ HP. Developed in almost total secrecy. OHC engines were allowed 45 inches of boost, but pushrod engines were allowed 55 inches and this one drove a huge gap in that loophole Won Indy in 1994 with Al Jr. at the wheel. Engine was SO dominant that it was essentially outlawed for the next season.
