The first person to "drive" a Ford-Mustang!
Built by Clem Gibson in 1947, he mounted a retired P-51 Mustang cockpit onto an old Ford V8 Chassis!

Radial engine of a Sherman tank during routine maintenance. The radial was used due to its high horsepower and being air cooled.

The horrid fashions of the 70s. I hated it, well except for mini skirts on my high school co-eds. Kids thees days have no idea of the suffering we endured!

Good sway bars. Certainly not great sway bars.

I'm really happy with my new ceiling fan, except one problem.

Discovered in 1930, Pluto’s orbit takes about 248 years to complete. This means the distant planetoid is still on its first journey around the Sun since its discovery, highlighting the immense time scales of our solar system.

The Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 – March 26, 1945) 🇺🇸
Hot sulfur baths—Located near the 3rd Marine Division water point on the southwest beach of Iwo Jima, this hole was originally dug as a foxhole for water distillation units. However, sulfur-rich water soon began seeping from the ground. The 3rd Engineering Battalion (Seabees) installed a gasoline pump and hose, allowing troops to take helmet baths. Plans were underway to set up showers. Iwo Jima, 1945. (Original historic wartime caption, NARA).

Supposedly Dan is riding a Bonanza minibike, which makes sense. They were around when I was a kid. I was a Taco man at the time, but top of the line. Taco 100, with bigger wheels and the 5hp Briggs & Stratton vs the 3.5hp. IIRC it had springs on the front forks, too. I think the Bonanzas were better, but not sure. The Hondas were the best.
