When I'm looking for a good time, first thing I think is "Hey! I'm going to iron something!"

A fake garbage cover to hide stuff in a van.

Concrete overflowed out of the toilet . Concrete contractor unknowingly broke the sewer line while digging for a retaining wall. The concrete pumper came and literally pumped the entire sewer line full of concrete until it overflowed out of the toilet. That will be an expensive repair!

Imagine your boss sliding a fifty-dollar bill across the table. He bets you can't write a bestselling book using only 50 different words. This very challenge was presented to Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, in 1960. Bennett Cerf, the founder of Random House, made this $50 wager. Dr. Seuss accepted. He worked diligently to create a story using exactly 50 distinct words. The book born from this bet was "Green Eggs and Ham," released on August 12, 1960. It went on to become an iconic and top-selling children's classic. This achievement highlighted Dr. Seuss's extraordinary ability to create compelling narratives within significant limitations.

Two 13-year-old boys caught smallpox at the same time in 1910.
One had been vaccinated as a child and he developed only mild symptoms, with just a few scabs that healed quickly. The other, unvaccinated, suffered the full, severe form of the disease, which could be disfiguring or deadly.
English physician Edward Jenner developed the first smallpox vaccine back in the late 1700s after discovering that exposure to cowpox could protect people from smallpox. Still, despite clear proof that it worked, anti-vaccine movements existed even then, spreading fear about side effects and even outlandish rumors that people might turn into cows, since the vaccine came from cowpox.
Smallpox was finally eradicated globally in 1980.
