I used to work at a bar where the till was always stocked with $2 bills. You can get them at the bank in wraps of $200

Those are quite a bit more rare. The ones we got at the bar were always newer. I think they were often 1994, maybe? I think they print some every once in a while.

Plenty of metal cards out there.

The AMEX Centurion (The Black Card) is the most prestigious of the lot.

Made of Titanium.

$10K initiation fee and $5k annual fees just to keep it.

Invitation only.

You need to spend $250K a year on other AMEX cards to be invited and have an annual income North of $1 Million.

That would be easy with a business of any decent size. No way would I accept 10k initial fee and 5K per year fee. Our business credit card is 100% free of fees. We have never paid a penny of fees, and we get cash back on every purchase. I can't care less about impressing some clerk with my card.

My dad was a USAF pilot. I wish I remembered more details but he said they went to almost all the Pacific islands in a C-124. One of the islands was a British run island and the US military had to pay for fuel upfront. Dad said he had to dig under the seat, and pull out a envelope with a metal credit card (in the 1960s) and they fueled up. That FBO was really thrilled with that sale.

Imagine a rock band like the Rolling Stones on tour going to a motel and reserving an entire floor for the crew and several penthouses for the band members at some fancy hotel. The credit limits have to be basically unlimited. Or renting a jet to fly the band around. Mega bucks.

There had better be some major perks. If there's not, then this doesn't sound like the kind of card that a smart rich person would get.

Bingo...I look for a no annual fee card with a cash back perk. Interest rate doesn't matter because I pay in full every month. Flashing a prestige card is stupid...like flashing a gold watch. Both mugger bait.

I'm careful where I use the card...mostly use cash for small purchases...

There must be something wrong with me. I can't bring myself to spend $40-$50 for a wallet.

If you want a high-quality wallet, check out Von Baer. One of the best leather brands on the market.

I have a black leather tri-fold that I've carried for 20 years, and it's still going strong. Don't know the brand. Most of the logo is worn off, but I can still see what looks like a ship's anchor between a pair of wings.

I've been running the Bando 2.0 for many years. One (or two) of the black plastic separators for the cards has become separated at the far end, but it's still working well.

But I saw these, and they are pretty cool!

These are what I initially saw, and are pretty cool.

These are a bit different. I think I'm gravitating towards the Franklin.

They make more wallets/card holders and other stuff, all made in Arizona, apparently.

I prefer a single fold wallet large enough to hold 100 euro notes.

My last two have been Tumi's, one leather, one nylon. Similar to this:

This is a cool site if you want to check out the variety of wallets available. It's a guy that reviews wallets.

https://www.walletopia.info/

This one is pretty cool and is a competitor against the one that I posted above.

I’ve had a Fossil tri-fold wallet for over 20 years. It started showing its age and I just picked up another one last week. It was $65, I paid over $100 for the same wallet 20 years ago. Go figure.

I'll bet that the first was made by a smaller version of Fossil and the new one is made by a version of Fossil that's now owned by a much larger conglomerate and now the manufacturing is in China, India, etc...

I don’t carry a wallet anymore. I have a card holder on the back of my phone and that’s it. Of course, if I screw the pooch, I lose both my phone and my wallet. Then what do I do? The only phone number I know is Ms Rocket’s and I would have to borrow a phone to call her. Before cell phones, I probably remembered 200 phone numbers that I used all the time.
