Apparently I forgot I pledged for this on Kickstarter...

The Bando 3.0 showed up in the mail yesterday..

Its a rigid sort of case, with a trigger sort of card launcher....

I'm liking it..

I've got the Bando 2.0, and I love it. I had tried a couple of other options and figured the Bando 2.0 was cheap enough to order just in case. It's my absolute favorite of everything that I've tried. Small, thin, light, and easy to get out whatever card you need. I have 2 IDs, 4 cards and a couple of slips of paper. And I can stick a receipt under the strap until I get home.

I'd highly recommend the Bando 2.0 for anyone looking for something minimal.

The Bando looks good. I carried a surfer canvass wallet for so many years it was like an old pair of slippers. One day while pulling it out my do gooder SIL sees it and sends me an expensive leather wallet. Out of courtesy, of course I started using it and it won't wear out. I know right away if I put ii in my pocket other than the usual way. It took months to break in.

I really miss my old surfer wallet.

Swissgear doesn't make this anymore, but a nylon wallet slides into the pocket nicely.
Had this close to a couple decades.

Cool set. And while I have never heard you speak, that stick... I expect that you speak softly.

Are you still loving the ridge? Is it wearing holes in your pockets? That’s why I ended up switching back to a leather wallet, my carbon fiber wallet had hard corners and had worn holes in the bottom of the pockets on my jeans.

I’ve thought about going to a ridge at some point, but I’m worried about that happening again.

That was my main reason for not even trying it. I knew that would happen. You'd end up looking like someone with a ridge from a dip can.

That's why I went with the bando, it's flexible.

bought direct from the company that makes them for Ridge. The $100 saved went into the clip.

Skinny wallets look cool...but just don't like the way they display bills on the outside. Bando says "lots and lots of bills"? Who wants to flash that? Maybe a pool shark, but not me...

Sticking with traditional...

Ya reading all of this, that may be what I do next.

And to soothe Paul’s concerns, I almost never carry cash. No worries there. 🤣

I don't carry cash, essentially ever. We go to a dairy farm down the road and get our milk direct. It's not pasteurized or homogenized, and it's amazing. They have a box and notepad on a table. You get your milk out of the walk-in. Write what you bought and leave your payment in the box. That's the only time I carry cash. I have some, that I can use if the SHTF, but otherwise, I use a card (or better yet, my watch with Apple pay) for everything else.

Viosi off Amazon.

Real leather, and my 2 cards and DL don't come flopping out. Very secure.

An external money clip means:
-It will hook on the edge of the back pocket
-Your big wad of cash will fall out in a dark theater, a crowded space, next to the open car door, or in front of those thugs waiting behind and staring hard.

To each their own...this reminded me of a story related by a pool tournament director remembering the first time he saw Keith McCready, the pool player who played the character Grady Seasons in The Color of Money.

Seems Keith, at age 15, was "robbing" the big money players in a hall known as Hard Times. This tourney director asked him why he wasn't in school. Keith replied they kicked him out. Why? For having too much money. He'd asked the gym teacher to hold his money because he was afraid it would get stolen from the locker. Teacher said sure, so Keith handed him a wad of $100's and smaller...$13,000!

Different lifestyle, I guess. In mine, I only carry 2 credit cards..one Visa, one gas...but a potload of other stuff...insurance cards (paper), etc. And CASH.. I usually go to the bank, pick up $500 or more when I run low.

Some people love using cards for everything. I'm not one of those people. Prefer using cash in restaurants and other places. Don't want to go through the hassle of getting new cards in case of card fraud. I'm careful where I use them.

No cash you say? Check the opening of this pool match video...the count before the match started. Sure don't see any skinny wallet users with credit cards. LOL!

Real high-rollers use a rubber band.

That’s a beauty. I have used a similar one for decades now, always in my right front pocket with whatever cash I have in the same pocket. I’ve never had to worry about pick pockets or otherwise losing it. The one I’ve had for the last 10 years just split from being overloaded with cards.

Yep, I don't want/need a money clip. There's something else hard that will either poke me in the backside or rub against my pants.

I have my first bill fold somewhere, I was going to frame it. I've only had two since I could drive, the one I have now is a Geoffrey Beene, which is going on 7 years? Leather trifold, both.

Wow, that's impressive. I've probably had 6-12, or maybe at the absolute outside as many as 15.
