What's the straight edge for? The other mangled BB wrench is jsut fine. Took a few hits from a hammer, but it shows character.

This is one of its uses but good luck finding one.

I jsut went out to get a pic of the forks I really like from that mid 2000 era. The look fork I held in my hand is the one I really like. Light, stiff, and they feel great riding. All carbon through and through. The straight blade fork on the yellow Colnago is an other favorite due to appearance. A bit soft compared to the curved one due to the lack of carbon and thinner blades.

My Alum. carbon Torelli. Those Reynolds forks are good forks too, stiff.

When I was a wee bugger, I built up a Trek 1000 frame with a Look carbon fork. Dura Ace on the back, single chainring before it was cool...that thing, combined with teenage energy, was a friggin rocket

My neighbor in DC had one of these also made by Campagnolo. It is huge and costs 179 Euro.

Here's my latest "acquisition". An Army buddy had this collecting dust in his garage and offered to send it to me for free. He lives in NSWs so I'll be paying for shipping. I'll be rebuilding it with a complete Campagnolo Gruppo from the late 80s. (Maybe single speed with a White Industries freewheel setup for flat racing.)

It should clean up well and I'll probably be redoing the clear coat over the Carbon Fibre seat post thingy.

Cool bike - I test rode one back in the day - I had trouble smoothing my cadence so I didn't bounce. The beam may have been set a bit light...

Did ya say White Industry? I never really understood those hubs. Big and ugly. Well, the fronts are OK. I have these on my Merlin

Nice hubs BTW... You'd only ever need to buy them one time.

That's a single cog freewheel?

I don't think I will buy them again. Sticking to Shimano if I were building a set of wheels. That's aint gonna to happen for sometime. Its easier to just buy a wheel set now. Still, I liek to someday fuss with building wheel again when I have more time.

Yes, this video should help explain what I'm planning to do but basically you have two gears and the gear you're in is determined by the front cogs only. This is a mountain bike but you could do the same setup on a road bike.

... You may ask "Why do something like this?" - My answer would be "Because I can and it's different."
