Well, as has been suggested, if the result of the investigation is something medical related, there’s a law that prevents them from discussing it.

So that’s one reason.

It doesn’t really matter, half the public will be pissed because they don’t like Tiger Woods and he might escape getting blamed for this. Geez, can’t have that...

If they don't test for impairment or the presence of drugs, the rest is semantics.

Had a booze jockey run a stop sign going about 20 over the speed limit, flee the scene, be chased down and run a stop sign trying to escape. Was forced to the side of the road by two good Samaritans, told that they had his license plate number so he might as well go back. They returned to the scene and gave a statement. Smelled booze on the guy who ran the stop sign, until he started chain smoking cheap cigars. Advised the officer what I do for a living and what I had observed. Given the smell and his antalgic gait, he was impaired in some way, likely due to alcohol. They gave me a card with the report number on it, asked if I wanted them to call a tow truck and that was it. The aforementioned booze jockey was allowed to drive away in his own vehicle. I wonder what could explain that?

Tiger Woods was driving more than 80 mph when he crashed SUV

Tiger Woods was driving more than 80 mph — nearly twice the posted speed limit — on a downhill stretch of road when he lost control of an SUV and crashed in a wreck that seriously injured the golf superstar, authorities said Wednesday.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva blamed the Feb. 23 crash outside Los Angeles solely on excessive speed and Woods’ loss of control behind the wheel. The athlete will not face any citations for his third high-profile collision in 11 years.

“The primary causal factor for this traffic collision was driving at a speed unsafe for the road conditions and the inability to negotiate the curve of the roadway,” the sheriff told a news conference.

Woods was driving 84 to 87 mph (135 to 140 kph) in an area with a speed limit of 45 mph (72 kph), Villanueva said. No one else was hurt, and no other vehicles were involved.

If you can' trust this guy...who can you trust?

John Daly believes if there’s one golfer who can make a comeback, it’s Tiger Woods.

During an appearance on "Justice with Judge Jeanine" Saturday, Daly, a two-time major champion, believes Woods has what it takes to "come back strong" from his horrific car crash in February and break Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 all-time wins at a major tournament.

Well, I know Tiger, he's very tough," Daly said on the show. "He's mentally tough and, you know, I've talked about Ben Hogan when a Greyhound accidentally hit him and he was really banged up really, really bad, didn't know if he's ever going to play golf, came back to win the US Open. Tiger, I think we'll be back and he'll come back strong. And I really feel like he's going to beat Nicklaus' major record."

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said during a news conference that Woods was driving between 84 and 87 mph when he first made an impact, and he was driving 75 mph when the vehicle hit a tree, in an area where the speed limit was only 45 mph.

The legendary golfer suffered several injuries from the crash, including open fractures affecting his tibia and fibula, injuries to his foot and ankle, and trauma to the muscle and soft tissue of the leg "required surgical release" to relieve the pressure.

According to a TMZ Sports report, Woods was knocked unconscious, had a laceration to the lower front jaw, bruised his right and left rib cages, fractured right tibia and fibula, and had a possible right ankle injury.

I would say that he will never play golf (at a professional level) again.
Tough break...but I'm sure he will be ok financially.

That's likely closer to what will occur.
