Is that a Shorts on the ledge?
|
^^^ Nope...Two Hearted Ale.
Best beer ever! (IMO) Although Huma Lupa Licious is a close second. https://video.nest.com/live/4Lc0WbToTr |
Dang...it was half full yet. What a waste!
|

Looked at the local Acme site (store is three minutes from my shop) and they have it. Will be a good one to take home. Not a shop beer if driving. |
It's in the fridge right now...I'm 3/4 German....but 1/4 Dutch.
Guess which part is stronger. |

It's made by Bell's Brewery and their sales are nationwide. (Kalamazoo, MI) It's really a great all-around beer. 7% ABV and an awesome taste.:) |

Turtles are all in the water now.
They heard about the 'ever ate turtle?' thread. |
|
Finally saw one go in.
It was on the food platform and did not mess with the ramp. Just a full dive into the water from the edge near the filter. What was interesting was the speed it had. When they move they can move. When they don't move, well, they don't move. It must be chow time as I've seen two of them gnashing and submerging and then repeat. MF sweet! |
They can really scoot...if they get traction.
It's funny to watch them trying to get speed on the food platform, but their legs just spin! https://video.nest.com/live/4Lc0WbToTr |
|
Yes...there is one more the same size.
|
I saw it on the food platform a couple minutes back.
FWIW, We have your yesterday weather here today in Akron - 82F. Tomorrow will have your chillier temps but all very tolerable. |
Just noticed an embed feature on the Nest Cam. Not sure if it can be enlarged to full screen?
<iframe type="text/html" frameborder="0" width="480" height="394" src="//video.nest.com/embedded/live/4Lc0WbToTr?autoplay=1" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
The turtles are getting soaked!
Hmm...the embed doesn't seem to hold the video...for some reason. Must click on the speaker for sound. |
Earlier today this guy was trying to escape. Tried to climb all three sides of the Plexiglas.

^^^ you can see from your pic that I had to extend the plexi because I had one go over.
I think she used the back of another turtle to get enough height. From there, it's a 3ft fall to the wood decking...didn't faze her! |
I have to be careful where I place the pond plants. They like to climb up into the pot and then onto the wood cap of the pond. So..at each end of the cap, I have plexi-glass walls to stop them.
The cap overhangs the water...so they can't climb onto it from the water. |
