John - very cool 914 toy, had never seen that one before.
Baz - oh yes, I remember those Lionel sets well! If I showed the rest of the train platform with the other 1/87 non-Porsche then you all would know I really had a collecting problem ![]() Noah - looks like we have similar tastes in some of liveries. Here are my 1/32nd slots ... had a lot of fun with the kids building tracks and racing the cars but haven't done that in years. Very cool that you have some signed, always that thought would be neat thing to do. ![]()

Nice stuff guys! I collect too. Not just porsches or racecars but anything that I like within reason. I let a very low budget limit my collecting which helps alot especially with the larger scales. Its too easy to go overboard. 1/64 scale has really been getting amazing the past 5 years or so and there is so many I really need to be picky. The 8 year old me would have traded 50 cars for just one of the amazing cars hotwheels makes now like the Alfa's and Lanica's. Iv got a few autoart 934s that are the stars of the collection. But I like the smaller scales best. Im glad they started making micro machines again hopefully they will up the quality like they used to be or better.

No put-together models... though I do have an unassembled classic speedster from Revel? I think... the somewhat collectible one.
My little car weakness is limited to 356s... fortunately, not a lot get made that I've seen out and about. Scored the green one a while ago from Cracker Barrel and the red one came from CVS when I was getting my son his covid shot a few weeks ago. Silver one I got for my dad forever ago. And then the 1:1 model with the son 15 years ago.... ![]() |

Just picked up this Tomica Premium NSX from a friend. Thought I'd show the difference in quality between a few different 1/64 models at various price ranges. I really need to include the 1/64 Spark model for comparison, as it's pretty darn detailed too.
Hot Wheels 934.5- $1 Tomica NSX- $10 Tomica Limited Vintage Neo Silvia Super Silhouette Racecar- $70 Quick pic of the trio. The detail and finishing aren't even close, but that's to be expected. ![]() One of the coolest features of the Silvia, the removable front end. Motor isn't too detailed but I can't complain! ![]() Pretty cool with the detailing on the rear with the tail lights and accents on the NSX, look smuch more complete.

My weakness is the Jägermeister cars. I have some 1/43rd scale stuff, Hot Wheels, etc.
I put this 1/24 scale one together last winter for fun as my 11-year old started getting into models and I thought I would do one also. I am not an expert model builder, needless to say... ![]() ![]()

I have a modest collection of 1/18th Exoto GT40's and some others.
Way back over twenty years ago I started getting Exoto's as they became available. From what I understand, they went out of business. Back then, nothing was even close to the exact proportion of the parts and quality of the cars. I still display the three GT40's Ken Miles won in Sebring, Daytona and the shameful second he got in the year of 1966 at Le Mans. No Porsches. Just Fords.

Wanted to build this but the price suggested otherwise.

Saw these Hot Wheels are Walmart the other day, thought they were pretty cool and the Mazda was unique. The Super Bee wasn't a Hot Wheels, had some pretty cool detail.

Many years ago I used to collect Hot Wheels, mostly 1st editions and I have several fairly large boxes of them. I found this Treasure Hunt car and TR6 mixed in with some NASCAR diecast.

This is a Richard Petty 1/25 scale model by AMT that I built about 20 years ago. It has always been kept in the case.

I've accumulated several models of various kinds over the years. Some of them are just in the way now, and I've been paring down the collection. I was selling some off on eBay but they changed their rules and it's even more of a pain to deal with them now. I've given half a dozen to the local thrift store and they seem to do OK selling them. I'm trying to sell this Danbury Mint truck for $50 on Craig's List. If I can't get $50 for it I'm giving it to the store. It was on display, so it's not perfect, but it's back in its original box now.

Nice a neighbor has a bunch of coe's one he restored red just like that. He makes or has made the rubber fender step guards. I guess they are pretty terrible on the road in stock form. Suspension solid as a rock and top speed like 40. He drove it literally about one mile to a car show and said he is never driving it that far again lol whatever

My son is learning to shoot and edit videos and used a couple of my models as his test subjects. These are a couple of still shots.

I have a few 1/18 CMC models. Pretty nice details for the price.
Those are real wire wheels with very accurate tires - all the markings, tread and logos appear to be period correct. The upholstery weave presents 'as to scale', the removable parts fit very tightly and the paint finish and decal work is top-notch. Instant gratification, and I could never in a million years build a car to this standard of quality. ![]() ![]()

^^^ that's a very nice model. I have some 1/18 scale Corvette models, 1963 split window and a 1967 roadster by ERTL and they are just toys compared to the one you have. I also have a 1/18 scale Bugatti by Burago that is pretty much a toy also but I took it apart and painted some things to give the model more detail.
