I was doing some cleaning last night and found two of my collector edition 911 RSR Turbos by Kyusho. This was a special collaboration between Model Cars Magazine and Kyosho which came with a small book.

Seems like a good way to produce the obscure stuff at a relatively low initial manufacturing cost.
I love Spark models and they’re the main ones I buy because of how detailed they are. I’m glad they produce such niched set of cars because no one else does. They do have some diecast cars which I have as well. I’ll dig them up and take some photos this weekend!

Some things are hard to find or otherwise unavailable to buy so I 3D print the stuff and airbrush. Current projects.

Seasdhadow, Focke-Wulf Triebflügel, HO water tower for industrial complex, Mythosaur pendant (copper plated not painted).

I have a coworker that is a very tall guy. We call him Yeti. He also used to play bagpipes. Working on this. Just a few base layers on so far. Too many things to do and not enough time.

These are some of the projects waiting on the replacement compressor, I have another table full as well. The old Bostitch 6 gal compressor finally gave up. Cost more in parts than a new one!

This is one of several 1:43s I have from OPO 10, which I believe is the same company as IXO. These are very impressive for the money (generally $20-35). OPO 10 did a series of Le Mans cars for a magazine in Europe that were available on subscription. This Corvette even has some photo-etched metal parts on it.

I pulled this one out of long-term storage from the 90s. 1:43 1987 Sauber-Mercedes C9 driven by Chip Ganassi, Johnny Dumfries, and Mike Thackwell at Le Mans. Decals are becoming brittle and flaking

Quick question, is this convincing enough for the glass on the cockpit? Will do the other half if so.

Got a DCC controller for the small layout so I can start building it out. DCC encoder for the one locomotive.

NCE Powercab for the controller, Soundtraxx for the decoder.

Now I need a BNSF GE ES44AC and a steam loco and more cars. Might 3D print some cars and buy the trucks. Kadee makes trucks with actual springs. They also make good couplers and magnetic decouplers.
