Also on netflix and VERY clever....
The Lazarus Project" is a British science fiction thriller series that was originally broadcast on Sky Max and has now been licensed to Netflix in the US. Both seasons of the show are available for streaming on Netflix. The series follows a man named George who discovers he has the ability to perceive time shifts and joins a secret organization that manipulates time to prevent global disasters. Lots of clever plot twists, good production values especially for something british, nobody is good/bad, love it so far... sorry no embedding ! |

Just the first two episodes released today, out of 8, reportedly. Pretty good, a different version of a familiar storyline. It resembles the original Alien the most, I think. Not a surprise, given that Ridley Scott is executive producer. The effects are good. It takes these two episodes to get a handle on what's going on.

Megan 2.0. I was not thrilled with 1.0 and 2.0 is not much better. It tries to be Sci Fi, comedy and horror. Not that good at any of them.

“Butterfly” on prime.
Surprisingly good! Jason Bourne in Korea essentially… you expect “meh” but it’s well done and different because it happens in Korea and has high production values… The lead actress isn’t hard to look at either. Last edited by Deschodt; 08-17-2025 at 10:28 PM.. |

I just started watching "The Waterfront". Not a bad show, definitely kept my attention.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31216548/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_the%2520waterf I just saw that even though it was in Netflix top 10 they didn't pick it up for a second season. I have some friends who work on the Dexter reboot and that was just canceled this weekend. Hollywood is just turning out crap product these days. Run by the "bean counters" and not the visionaries.

I seem to have stumbled into a YouTube video area called "Alter" which has hundreds of little short (10-15 minute) horror story videos. Some excellent, some bad. Not sure if it's from film schools or where they're coming from.

Fisk is cool. Goofy Australian sitcom in a law office. Each season is just 6 half hour episodes, so it's snack size.

Haha I watched all 6 episodes of season 3 after my wife went to bed last night. My cocktail almost came out my nose a couple of times I was laughing so hard. |

Also Watched The Waterfront on Netflix. As Craigster59 said It does keep your attention. The actor that plays Grady , a sociopath/psychopathic drug dealer nails it. Really nails it !

I started watching a show on Netflix. It's a British show with some British quirkiness to it. Takes place in the 60's and has a Agatha Christie/Murder Most Foul feel to it (Martha Rutherford who played Miss Marples). It's "Sister Boniface Mysteries" and it's quirky and corny in a good way. A Nun who rides a motor scooter with sidecar and some cool vintage British autos spotted to boot. May not be everyone's cup of tea (pun intended) but I like it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15407098/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_sister%2520bo

I should re-watch that. I only got 2-3 episodes in. I like Joel Kinnaman, especially from The Killing, and I didn't get too far with For All Mankind, either.
