It’s funny because I spent a fair amount on a lightweight lithium battery for one of my street bikes but I could eliminate a lot more weight with a diet and exercise program....

You guessed it. Plenty of those same riders could go on a diet and lose the equivalent weight of their superbike and actually be able to measure the performance difference that the weight loss makes.
